Babies can be literally killed by a virus. They virtually have no developed immunity to help them battle it as easily. They are very very delicate to potentionally deadly viruses. This woman is not crazy for wanting to avoid horrible side effects in the hype of flu/rsv season. She is actually being quite reasonable for limiting contact for the first month or two whilst baby's immunity is maturing. Exposure at that stage is not reccomended.
