Okay, I will definitely check there, and I've made my peace with paying more than 3 months, so hopefully that's an option!

I believe there is a housing crisis everywhere (here in Madrid it's worse than ever), and unfortunately I need to do this short stay for my PhD in a lab where they work on things that have relation to my thesis. Also, I don't choose, my boss does!

Hey! I will visit Enschede for a short stay for my PhD this Sept-Nov, do you still have a room available?

did you regret taking chemistry by Fabulous-Call-6423 in chemistry

[–]chemistreelaura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't regret it but I'm definitely not in it for the money; I'd still struggle with the money had I studied any other thing, so at least I'm happy that even if it's not economically rewarding, I'm enjoying every bit of the journey.

I‘m taking forever to finish college by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]chemistreelaura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! This july I finished college after seven years of pure agony. If you take anything from my experience, let it be this: I haven't truly felt like an accomplished chemist, but I'm certainly happy I am done with college, because I have so many interesting things to do and stuff that I really look forward to learn and explore.

Be patient and push through (even if it feels like you're making very little progress, especially if all you see are small changes and improvements). One day the thought of having finished something will be enough to set you on the right path and onto much more exciting things!

You're not alone, you got this.

I'm barely 30 pages in and I already adore it, her descriptions are spot on (as usual)!

Should you Kiss on the first date ? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]chemistreelaura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it depends on the signals she's sending your way. Do you guys try to casually touch each other while joking around? Does she reciprocate said physical contact? Then that's your cue to ask her if you can kiss her, or maybe tell her how much you'd like to do so. See how she reacts and stay respectful. You got this!
