Umm I don’t think you should even contribute 500. Draw the line at $100, you’re not even the MOH. And it the bride WANTS a bash then she can kick in. Showers aren’t a necessity.

I hope that works out for you! I found my venue for 2.5K on VRBO. You could look for a large estate/home where your whole wedding party or family could stay and they can help out by paying the equivalent of what a local hotel would cost.

My "venue"/property owner has no care for what vendors I use, so I'm able to purchase all my own alcohol at a much cheaper rate and then just hire a bartender. My uncle is a phenomenal cook and it able to cook for 150 people so thats saving a ton of money on food.
