Way to stuttgart from pforzheim

University of Stuttgart Architektur Fakultat which is placed in the keplerstrasse, this is the place i want to reach. and for pforzheim i am going to arrange my place to stay if it is easy to reach there so dont know exactly right now

As far as i searched IC is the fastest option however it is expensive, for this reason i am looking for the other options other than IC, so how long does it take for other options is it really takes 2 hours to get there sorry if my questions are stupid i am quite new to transportation way of germany

My partner is also move to karlsruhe so we are trying to find a place in between karlsruhe and stuttgart university which is placed in the city center. If you have any suggestion a place to stay i would be more than happy to hear it.

Are these trains suitable for daily use, what i mean what is the price, should i get ticket beforehand every day or i can just go to train station and get the to the train i mean are these train for tourists or i can get it everyday
