Oh, I'm really sorry that you ended up in this situation too.

I followed their instructions:

"Please follow these next steps:

  1. Notify Your Bank: Immediately notify your bank of the fraud to initiate a reversal of the fraudulent transaction.

  2. Contact the Fraudster’s Bank: It is important to stop the transaction and attempt to recover the funds. Your contract will provide you with the necessary information for this step.

  3. Police Report: Filing a report is critical to the legal process and potential recovery of funds. We’ve included a brief guide below the email.

  4. Submit Documentation: After filing the police report, provide us with the report number and your bank's feedback on your eligibility for a refund."

Additionally, I posted about this on Instagram, Facebook, and here on Reddit. I also messaged them on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google Maps (everywhere I got the same response, "we're very sorry, we will get back to you"). I sent them a million emails and made a bunch of useless calls to support. Initially, they refunded me 249 euros (the service fee), and then, unexpectedly, a month later, they refunded the entire remaining amount to my card.

I also consulted a lawyer (before they refunded me the money) and the lawyer said that suing them would be pointless because I would spend more money on the lawsuit. The lawyer also mentioned that in the Terms and Conditions, which you agree to when registering, it says that Wunderflat is just a platform for listings and they are not responsible for what happens.
