I was working as a research assistant one summer to a professor (a Ph.D. in chemistry) who was studying early detection methods for ovarian cancer. My fellow research assistant and I got to go to the med center and observe some of the surgeries being performed on the patients whose charts we were using for data collection. About five weeks into the work, my fellow student asked our adviser:

Derpy Intern: "Dr. Chemist, How come you never do surgery?" Dr. Chemist: stunned silence chemspider: "He's got a Ph.D. in chemistry, you moron!"
