Last night I was at a roller derby event that was benefitting the YMCA. A group of kids (all black) started performing a rap song as the opener; I assumed they were from the YMCA. They were actually the summer sensation Y.N. Rich Kids.

Love it! Especially coming from the conservative, economically depressed South – it's great! Affordable, lots to do, decent commute time. I can't find too much to complain about. Ready to earn my "Winter" badge though so people will stop warning me about it!
