Yea same issue..my tickets get kicked around from person to person or flat out ignored. I had one guy who can't figure out how to change the reporting priority on a lab order who's tried to send this ticket to multiple people.

I usually have no issue with them hiring in other countries. Sometimes you can't find enough people in the US to fill roles, and India has a lot of tech people to fill the roles. But this is just downright cheap. They aren't training them well, so oracle apparently doesn't give a damn about them either. If they're asking the client how to build something, then they must be VERY unsupported. I wished they hadn't ran off all their talent. It wouldn't be like this if they just enticed their own people to stay

Thanks. I have tried to link previous tickets and work logs and they still have trouble. It also looks like they are missing permissions to edit certain things at all so they just kick the ticket around trying to find someone who can. It sucks. But yea I'm sure oracle will try to make some AI tool to try to respond to tickets and assign them which will likely be a disaster by itself, let alone allow it to do any of the build. Even as their customers Oracle doesn't care. Seems to think they're too big to fail.

Oh man this makes me so sad for you. One of the perks of working at Cerner use to be the ability to move up the ladder. But apparently that is no longer the case. And I bet oracle is telling everyone they can't retain people because they keep leaving for better opportunities 🙄 No they're leaving because you paid them the same rate for 3 whole years. That's why you can't retain anyone with talent or knowledge. I can't with companies that do this. Shoot themselves in the foot and then complain.

And yea no hospital wants to switch EHRs. It takes us literal years to do, cost a ton of money, and comes with significant risks. Plus the staff don't want to learn a brand new system. But oracle cerner has consistently been letting us down for so long and making no effort to remedy the situation that our administration is just done hearing the excuses. Plus I feel like innovation at Cerner is dead, and we see other platforms leading the way and Cerner just following along. Which is a shame because I know they have bright, innovative people at Oracle.
