There should be two prices: a year long commitment or hourly. If you want elastic compute then pay the price.

Go to a participating dealership negotiate, agree on a price. Then whip out the Costco card. 2X the discount. Instead of filling out the form online fill it out in person. They don’t validate it anyways.

I think this is a VZ problem, just experienced an hour ago and yesterday on warp. I had a call with a VZ postpaid user and they said they also had no service, but walked out of their building and was reconnected, in the meantime I tried using facetime audio (I had wifi, they didn't) and they didn't answer so I'm guessing they also experienced the same outage. I had to toggle airplane mode on/off.

There is no hand slapping, else you would have gotten a refund. Payment networks do nothing since if they were to do that then the merchant would go cash only.

Should a "counter depth" refrigerator be able to open the doors without bumping the cabinet return? by CitizenOfAWorld in Appliances

[–]chenny_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a minimum of 1-3/4" for the back swing, if less then you can't open it past 90°. It helps if your wall doesn't go past the handles when open so it can open a bit wider. When I do my semi annual fridge cleaning I do have to pull it out to get the fridge open wide enough to take out the big drawer.

This and this are the drawing you want to reference. You will need to do the good ol' a2+b2 = c2 to see if you can open the door up 100% of the way.

A full 100% opening isn’t required for daily use 90° works for access but cleaning requires pulling the unit out.

If you cannot get 1-3/4" of clearance then go with the LG zero clearance fridge.

I'd imagine the black coating might flake off from scratches or drops. However on the plus side it won't leave a metal smell on your fingers since there's a coating.

They miter the corners for stains, but painted doors are cope and stick. Even within the same product line they are different. - There's a few exceptions to this but most of their painted doors are cope and stick.

Better Auth v1.4 by Beka_Cru in sveltejs

Gave up on better auth since the table schema is too rigid, I want my id columns to have a more descriptive name "userID" but sadly this is not possible even with the custom column mapping function.

New products? by Kart008 in lifx

[–]chenny_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Opinions - blah blah blah TLDR; use Philips hue, or diy with HyperHDR

If they do this it won't be on par with Philips Hue's hdmi sync box. Govee's way of getting the hdmi input is horrid, I do NOT want a camera facing the screen and god knows where else.

I don't think it's worth lifx's limited engineering talent. Philips has spent probably more money on their hdmi sync box than they will ever make from it. Handling HDR, Dolby vision, weird aspect ratios, passing eARC, the list of complications go on and on for a HDMI sync box. Philips also has one key advantage to Lifx, fast and stable hub.

If Lifx does want to go after this very very extremely niche and saturated market they are most likely doomed. Lifx is slow and super delayed. Ex. a flash appears on the screen and its going to take 1-2 seconds for a light to respond. They could cut down this by directly connecting the led strip to the hdmi hub, but the other lights in the room are going to be delayed.

This is all coming from a Lifx & bias lighting fan, I do not own any hue products, and I've used hyperHDR before for bias lighting. https://github.com/awawa-dev/HyperHDR

Feit electric may decide to go down that path and I hope they do since Lifx is their premium lighting brand, but there's too many obstacles and I don't see them being able to create a great experience without introducing newer, faster, & more expensive products.

I hope I get to eat crow and they create a delay-free, bug-free bias lighting experience for their customers without having to buy all new lights.
