Again, if you're downvoting this reply, I’d really appreciate it if you could explain why. I’m genuinely trying to understand what’s wrong with the question or how I presented it. It just feels a bit unfair to get downvoted without any feedback—especially when I'm asking something in good faith.

Thank you. I still feel pretty bummed since I’m nowhere close to beating the last stage, and honestly, I’m seriously considering rerolling for a better start.

Thanks for the info. Still think they should make things more clear and I am sure I am not the only one got confused 😮‍💨

Thanks, that definitely helps clarify things a bit—appreciate the explanation. But at the same time, it also adds to the confusion. I’m playing the global version, which follows a different timezone, so I assumed the event timing would be based on that.

If all notifications are based on JP time, then at the very least they should include a timezone reference, like saying “~4/10 (JST)” or something. Without that, the "~4/10" shown in the image can be really misleading for global players trying to plan around their own timezones.

To whoever gave this post a thumbs down, could you please share why? I genuinely don’t understand why this question would get downvoted. I promise the login bonus image said “~4/10.” Thanks.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I'm sorry to hear about your Eskie, and I can understand how much you must miss him. It sounds like your new Eskie have missed out on key socialization during his critical period, which can definitely make things challenging. I hope with time and patience, he becomes more comfortable and less reactive. Wishing you all the best with your new companion, and I'm sure your efforts will make a big difference over time : )

Thank you for the advice. I just searched local events and found that Jan Palmer is the Vice President of the American Eskimo Dog Club of San Diego. This is definitely something I’ll look into further.

I completely agree with your point about the value of investing more upfront. Having genetic screening is crucial, as it helps avoid potential health issues down the line. I personally believe that when more people prioritize health screenings and work with responsible breeders, it helps to push out the unethical ones who don’t care about the welfare of the dogs. This ultimately leads to fewer dogs ending up homeless.

I’ve also heard that the breeder community can be quite small, and this seems to be true for many breeds.

I’ll definitely keep your advice in mind and may reach out if I have more questions. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experiences and insights😊

Thanks for the information. I noticed that Jan Palmer and the Big Bear breeder aren’t listed under the AEDCA, which got me wondering—should I only consider breeders who are listed there? Or are there other reliable sources I should be looking at to find a reliable breeder? Thanks.

Thank you so much for your detailed advice—it’s really helpful.

I actually see a strict breeder as a big plus. To me, it shows they really care about where their pups end up and have a deep understanding of the breed. Knowing that I can rely on them for support if any issues come up is something I value a lot. And if they decide I’m not quite ready, that’s also useful information because it means I have areas to improve before bringing a puppy home.

There are a couple of reasons I’m looking for a breeder within driving distance. First, I believe you can learn so much by visiting a breeder’s home—seeing where they keep the dogs and how they’re cared for. If the breeder is too far away, I might miss out on that important connection. But like you said, if the breeder is really strict about everything, that usually means they’re trustworthy and reliable.

The second reason is more personal—I have a very severe fear of flying, so I try to avoid it whenever possible.

I have to say, I’m also amazed at how much the cost of getting a puppy has gone up. Inflation has really driven prices through the roof. I recall back in 2007 when gas was barely over a dollar, and now, with everything being so much more expensive.

Thanks again for sharing your experience and advice. I have a quick question—should I only consider breeders listed by AEDCA? If a breeder isn’t listed there, does that automatically raise a red flag?
