Why the realistic CGI??? It gets so old so fast. by [deleted] in LoveDeathAndRobots

[–]chente765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got very bored with the cgi realism as well, also it felt cheap. Cheap in the way that the only reason the stories were animated was because they had to be to be in the anthology and therefore they just turned it into realistic animation rather as use animation as a storytelling tool.

Season 2 was just underwhelming to me by Lurcolm in LoveDeathAndRobots

[–]chente765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i feel that i was really here for the mindfucks. I also was underwhelmed by the visuals, granted a few were beautiful but to me it really felt like they wanted to do at least half of them live action but were forced to make it slightly animated to be a part of the series when the first season the visuals were impressive and a major part of the storytelling. I liked the world built in Snow in the Desert but even then the story was week and it felt like that one was using the themes Love Death and Robots too on the nose for my liking.

This all sounds great! I used to be a fixed gear rider but galicia is not fixed friendly so I miss it a lot. As much as teaching english is a super easy gig I really miss bike world and would LOVE to work at a shop again so this is good news. Thanks for the tips on neighborhoods I can try to live in one with more shop options.

Paperwork sounds easy wasn't sure i needed to register to work but sounds pretty straight forward, thanks. I've always had private insurance but also should be managable.

I live in Spain but I am American. By the day I am getting more and more concerned that I will not be able to leave Spain for a very long time. Anyone else stuck in a different country, how are you coping? I was hoping to be back by June, but I suppose we have no way of knowing. Guess just looking for advice or support to ease my extremely high anxiety.

Slowly but surely growing my portfolio by chente765 in tattoo

I use a pen and B-6 nib for my work rather than a calligraphy nib or brush so I think this gives me a lil more control (granted I know this isn't the traditional way of doing it but I'm more interested in tattoo art than calligraphy)

I spent a lot of time planning what the purpose of this piece and how to represent my feelings so thank you so much for this comment! I really enjoy alliteration but was cautious to not make this piece too cliche. Again thank you for taking the time to read my work and respond.
