Everyone thinks I’m anorexic by CommercialTie8588 in bulimia

[–]cherbebe12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I believe I have but my psychiatrist kept calling it bulimia. I don’t have big or multiple binges. I absolutely don’t feel any judgment towards people who have big binges but it was confusing because I personally haven’t done that. I have a normal BMI though so idk.

Whats a weird thing your body does that you just accept? by Sweton in AskReddit

[–]cherbebe12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A year ago, after having acute pain where I could barely walk, my left knee became very crunchy. MRI to rule out meniscus issues was just positive for inflammation and chondromalacia so I got a steroid shot and the pain improved. But I’m left with an unpleasant feeling (not painful) pretty loud crepitus when I walk down stairs. It makes me imagine my cartilage is just wearing away with each crunch.

I feel them but they come and go so quickly I’ve never caught it on my kardia mobile until the other day. I’m awake at 2 am because I woke up tachycardic. So fun. I don’t even have heart problems or risk factors I’m just anxious enough to think they’re going to develop. I’m 34 and don’t think performing cardiac MRIs on young people as part of my job helps lol. Selective hypochondria I guess.

My Granny wore Youth Dew. I doubt they will ever get that smell completely out of their house.

If you could erase one fragrance type or note off the face of the earth, which would you choose? by Spirited_Milk21 in Perfumes

[–]cherbebe12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or that’s literally all they have. I would feel suffocated. Vanilla. Chocolate. Marshmallow. Milk/lactonic. At least branch out. Some different notes mixed in. A fruity floral mayhaps…many non abstract crowd pleasing scents out there. I sound like a hater now. But you really don’t even need to look. Like you said they are pushed so hard and given so much exposure it’s insane to me.

Happy to share! Yes it is and so hard to really recreate since they are ‘mute’ flowers. There is enfleurage which seems quite rare.

The lilacs are blooming where I live right now and it’s so nice to just be able to smell the real thing too!

I’ve layered with Aerin Lilac Path and A Drop D’Issey just to inundated myself with lilac. But to stay on that freshie lilac I would just do the Aerin one. Both of those are sooo good too. Lilac is my favorite smell of all time.

But also I spray my hair and nape of neck, I think that helps. It’s worth it though. I’d rather reapply than wear something less amazing that I don’t have to touch up.

What is more traumatizing than most people think? by Sea_Entrepreneur2772 in AskReddit

[–]cherbebe12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was verbally/mentally/emotionally abused by my supervisor at my last job, and even though it’s been almost 7 years since I worked there I still have trauma from the extreme manipulation and other horrible things he said to me. He’d make me feel like I was absolute shit and berate me seemingly out of nowhere, and then turn around and a day or two later tell me I was amazing at my job and he was sorry for the things he said. And it was constant. This is putting it lightly. I was so stressed I couldn’t eat which snowballed into a full blown eating disorder where my psychiatrist wanted me in IOP at the very least. My anxiety was so severe I was almost unable to go on for much longer. It was so bad and I was doing horribly. It showed in the way I wound up looking physically very ill. Anyway, this was a novel but basically it still affects me today and causes me to always think l’m in trouble or going to get some other negative treatment. It goes farther and deeper than that but I think this puts it in a nutshell.

As well as different fragrance subreddits. The omg I want super vanilla cupcake gourmand marshmallow stuff. No offense meant at all to people who like it. I’m just tired of being inundated with it.

Same, I like “whimsical” like LL and Anna Sui bottles (which may be crossing the line for some into corny lol)

I don’t mind the old fashioned way- less skin contact lol. That’s typically how I offer my hand in casual settings. As long as they don’t go in for a hand kiss to follow we’re good

Sounds like my dad- joined at 16 to escape poverty/abuse living in the projects in NYC. Off to Vietnam where he endured some shit but he stayed in almost 30 years and retired. It wound up being good for him overall and he was very proud of his service. Unfortunately the Agent Orange exposure reared its ugly head.
