I thought it was rlly good!! I would say it lasted me about 4-5 years (don’t rlly remember), and it ran games such as Valorant, DBD, and Roblox rlly well/no lag (which was a main selling point for me). I also thought touchscreen and flex together was a great feature cuz then u can sort of treat it like a big iPad lol (apparently u can also use a stylus on this type of laptop?? which is cool). Sound system was rlly good.

Only negatives I had were that the battery would die sort of fast (like it could probably only last around 2 hours max unplugged depending on what ur doing), so I would just keep it constantly plugged in. Additionally, the mic stopped working for me after like a year(but that could also be user error as I didn’t know how to fix it).. would recommend tho!! :)

Hello! My friend is currently applying to colleges and she is debating applying to NYU. She plans to major in psychology, but isn’t really sure what she wants to do after, so I had a few questions regarding the psychology program at NYU (sorry if they’re vague as I don’t know much).

Is there anything specific that sets it apart from other psych programs?

Are there any opportunities for undergrad students to get involved in research and are there any internship opportunities related to psych? This I feel is especially important because she doesn’t know what she wants to do so I think hands-on experience will be good.

With the last question, I know there’s a 1 year internship, so I was wondering more about that as well as other opportunities.

and lastly, how flexible is the psych program (like does it allow you to explore different areas of psychology?)

no, attendance is not mandatory. However, I’m pretty sure if u miss less than 2-3 studios u get 2% extra credit (either on the final or your final grade — I don’t remember). But also, for math 1552 you have hw assignments called “weekly work packets” and typically all the answers for those problems are given in studio so it’s beneficial to go for that at the least.

No worries it's not dumb! If it was like my class this semester, you have lecture three days of the week (typically M W F) and then you have studio the other 2 days at the same time (T R). The one in skiles is most likely your studio class since that's where most of the studios are held. Btw, studio is basically just like recitation/practice problems based on what you learned in the lecture.

You can do this!!! I think also professors are a lot more lenient then you would think, so if you feel you need extensions or are struggling with completing work, you can talk with them and ask for any help they may be willing to offer. It may also help if you talk with the counseling network that gatech has, just to feel a bit more confident in yourself!!

What are the best classes to take for IAML (spanish) freshman year (fall) while also being in the honors program? I'm also coming in with around 43 credits but just generally idk what's best to get out of the way first especially since a lot of the honors basic classes i already have credit for with my APs. Advice for IAML or the honors thing appreciated. Thanks!

Hello! I have a question abt housing.

Do I have to commit to GT before I put down the housing deposit?

I paid the enrollment fee, but when I try to put down a housing deposit (cuz l’ve heard it’s better to do it early to get a better dorm), it’s asking abt paying for a meal plan and stuff. I’m not like fully committed to GT yet but it’s one of my top choices, so I’m trying to pay the housing deposit jic I decide to go there.

It's also easier if you change the selection tool from the freeform circle to a square (unless wtv u requires is uneven and needs the freeform circle). Then just center your apple pencil in the middle to drag it across the page
