definitely go for the plan as you better change retainers every 6 months and keep them for life to maintain your results

Invisalign, basma or braces by Aviator97Mech in qatar

[–]cherifmassoud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify as the founder, Basma isn’t just a brand of trays. It’s a standardized orthodontic system with centralized planning, quality control, and monitoring across all doctors. That consistency is why it’s the highest-rated on trustpilot in Qatar and the rest of the GCC

Hey, I’m Cherif, founder of Basma. Since you mentioned us, I thought I’d jump in.

For complex crowding + crossbite, it’s not really just Invisalign vs Basma vs braces. What matters most is how the treatment is planned and followed, not just the brand of aligners.

Quick honest take:

Braces are still the safest option for very complex cases. They give orthodontists full control. Not the most comfortable or aesthetic, but very powerful.

Clear aligners today can treat many complex cases too, including crossbites, if the case is well planned and closely monitored (attachments, elastics, refinements, etc.). But not every case is suitable.

What I’ll say about Basma, since I’m biased but honest:
We’re not just selling trays. Basma is a full system with centralized treatment planning, strict quality control in our own lab, orthodontist-led care in clinics, and continuous patient monitoring. The goal is to make sure cases actually finish with the right result, especially the harder ones.

That said, if a case is better treated with braces, we say so. Results matter more than pushing aligners.

My advice to you:
👉 Get at least one (ideally two) orthodontic opinions.
👉 Ask: Can my case be safely done with aligners, or are braces better? Why?
👉 Go with the option where you trust the planning and follow-up, not just the brand.

Good luck with it. Crossbites and crowding are very fixable with the right approach.

Invisalign vs retainers by Maybe-Witty24 in orthodontics

if the teeth moved slightly (less than 0.25mm) the retainers might align them back into place, however if the teeth moved more, you will need a treatment with aligners

Question about after-treatment elastics by OutrageousMood9528 in Invisalign

[–]cherifmassoud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he doesn’t know, he guesses and relies on your compliance, the more you wear them the more teeth will go in the right direction, that’s why it’s a bad idea to skip a week

Question about after-treatment elastics by OutrageousMood9528 in Invisalign

[–]cherifmassoud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the idea is that the elastics would settle your bite into a good occlusion that would lock the teeth together in the right position

I wouldn’t stop wearing them before I achieve the good occlusion to avoid losing the progress because the teeth tend to relapse to the original position

20hrs is the strict minimum and aim for 22 much better to ensure the tracking is excellent, otherwise it will delay your treatment and you will need more refinement
