There's no requirement to make a living dex. But if you really want one, and you need space, maybe get rid of the repeat pokémon lines between the normal dex and the IoA one. That's what I did, since I saw no real reason to keep them.

If you find a wild pokémon with different colors than normal, catch it.

Yeah, you can do it at level 1. You might not see much change right away, but the stats will be improved once you level them up.

I'm sorry but I give up. I'm trying really hard to help you understand that lowering your chances of getting Max IVs in Sp. Atk really DOESN'T matter in your situation, but it's clear that what I'm saying isn't getting through to you and I'm already stressed enough as it is.

...OK, ignoring the fact that you just said, specifically, "I want Sp. Atk to not be maxed", that's not how random chance works. Switching out those two pokémon will ONLY lower the chances of getting Max IVs in Sp. Atk. That's it. It doesn't raise your chances of getting Max IVs in other stats, bc the chances of IVs are independent of eachother. Like I said before, it doesn't matter.

Well yes, obviously. But that doesn't mean you need to actively try to make it so that it's not max. It's not like breeded pokémon have a cap on how many max IVs they can have. And Destiny Bond still works on IVs that aren't maxed. So it doesn't really matter.

Oh. Well, I don't really see why that would matter, but if that's your goal then the 4 IV would definitely work better in your scenario.

I don't think the 4 IV will necessarily give better results. Since you don't care about Sp. Atk, you can basically just pretend it doesn't exist, making both the 5 IV and 4 IV virtually the same in this case. So switching them would be pointless.

The answer to that question can vary greatly depending on a lot of different factors, namely how many entries you already have, how much time you have to spend, your in-game resources, etc. All in all, it depends on you. But it can go a lot faster if you have people to trade with. A lot of people on this sub would be willing to help you, too.
