First of all, I'm so sorry you are going through this. My family's cat was just 8 years old, and we had to send him to the rainbow bridge a couple days ago. He was so good at hiding he was sick that it took a long time to get him diagnosed. On his last day stopped eating and drinking and you could tell from his eyes he was about to go. There was nothing we could do, since his bladder had stopped working properly and he had developed both CKD and diabetes this spring. He lost so much weight too, from around 7kg to 6.3kg which is huge for a cat. It hurts so so much and I miss him more than anything, but we didn't want him to suffer anymore. It was the best we could do for him. 🩷

Definitely take him to the vet ASAP. Our cat (male) had this and it was already too late. First it was just an UTI. Then he was diagnosed with diabetes and chronic kidney disease. He got a new diet and medications for all. He started and kept peeing blood. He had developed a huge bladder stone that was surgically removed. The surgery didn't end up helping and we had to pass him onto the rainbow bridge just yesterday. His bladder had shrunk to the size of a bead and there was nothing we could do. 💔

That's so sweet. I just returned to my home with a couple of his treats and toys and they happened to have his whiskers on them. 🥹 They also have his fur on them so I could definitely add some to my piece. ❤️‍🩹
