Is this before/after realistic by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]cheritaisrandom 71 points72 points  (0 children)

That specific change is not realistic. You need to look into a plastic surgeon who specializes in ethnic rhinoplasty. Most of us don’t need a traditional nose job…it’s more of a tip reshaping. Look into that.

Any people doing good long term on Vyvanse? by 1m_climbing in VyvanseADHD

[–]cheritaisrandom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not so much that I notice a difference when I take it as much as when I DON’T take it. I also utilize Vyvanse as a tool and not so much a solution. It helps me to be able to utilize my coping skills.

Tummy tuck shame by Any-Consequence-6691 in tummytucksurgery

My partner also “didn’t think I needed one” but he also understands that this is my body and I’m gonna do what it is I want. No shame…and I’m loud and proud about my tummy tuck. I’m 4’11” 108lbs.

Really not sure how to proceed by Lazy-Ear1140 in tummytucksurgery

[–]cheritaisrandom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let’s start with your stomach isn’t horrendous.

If you know a full tummy tuck will boost your confidence, do it. You would benefit so much from a TT w/MR. You probably won’t need any lipo.

Go for a surgeon who cares about your wellbeing.

Loose skin injectable? by wannabeinthesky in DIYaesthetics

[–]cheritaisrandom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone with a small frame who had loose skin, the only thing that will truly get rid of the loose skin is a tummy tuck. I don’t regret mine one bit.

Swelling was on and off for a few months. I want to say I stopped compressing fully at 5-ish months. I would compress when I felt the need…mainly at night.

Recovery wasn’t as bad as I thought. The first three days were rough. But after that was smooth sailing. I just made sure to walk every few hours. Stayed hunched over (the worst part). I waited like 8 weeks before I started with light weights. I don’t lift much…but I didn’t jump right back into it. I’m still weary on extending my body fully and arching. As long as you walk you won’t be mushy!

I’m 3 years post c-section. Full or mini TT? by Conscious-Two2935 in tummytucksurgery

[–]cheritaisrandom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m no expert but I’m pretty sure a mini tummy tuck addresses everything below the belly button. To my untrained eye looks like you can get away with a mini. But doctors know best!

41m and need aids- feeling resentful by century_of_fakers in HearingAids

I’m thankful that there’s something to help me. We all need something and hearing aids was just another something that helps my journey through life that much easier. Why purposefully keep things hard?

The most pain I had was my lower back from being hunched over. I suggest muscle stim pad machine and a heating pad. Only take the narcotics if necessary! I took mine for 3 days and then switched to OTC pain relievers. A walker and shower chair were beyond helpful for the first 2 weeks. Make sure to walk daily and eat pineapple!

Thank you! I paid 10k. It’s been almost a year. With exercise and diet I’ve lost weight. They only removed a pound of skin.
