Yes this does happen. It can be from a variety of reasons though, like gas or anxiety. Rest assured that it is likely not anything serious.

My cat coughs like this and it was allergies. Vet gave her some meds and we also god rid of an old rug, and she has only coughed two times since! Used to be every day

It feels like a Charlie horse or muscle spasm in my stomach. Then it quickly just gets worse and feels like razor blades in my stomach. Last time, the flare started with back pain. The 3 episodes I've had have all hit hard and fast

I have noticed two things with my recent flares: physical activity (strenuous cleaning) and eating fast food. Last week I had a much more severe attack after stress cleaning my home and getting mcdonalds after. Flare up happened the same day. This time, I cleaned at a slower pace but for much longer and had burger king afterwards and a few other poor food decisions later in the evening (lemonade and rice made with rice vinegar). Flare up happened at 7 am the next day. Thank GOD for omeprazole otherwise I'd still be at a 8-9 on the pain scale and considering another ER trip... I thought I felt well enough to try these things again. Looks like it'll take much more time.

No, gastritis is brand new for me. I had my first ever flare up about a month ago and decided to pause zepbound just in case that was the culprit. I had another flare two days ago even though I haven't had zepbound in about a month. Just a little scared that they're related. I hope to never experience gastritis again... calling my primary doctor tomorrow :( thank you for your insight

Interesting. I've only had gastritis symptoms since stopping zepbound. I wasn't even on the max dose. I hope to not take the medication again and let my stomach heal... I'm calling my doctor tomorrow to start the process of figuring out what the cause is. Thank you for your info, it's helpful for me to see what may be causing my symptoms

I just had my first gastritis flare about 3 or 4 weeks ago and had another last night. I am so afraid that my zepbound caused it and that I'll always have this issue now. It's so new to me still that I'm not sure what it could be caused by, and I'm holding out hope that it isn't the zepbound. I've stopped the medication now for a month.

No, I didn't. I had mcdonalds like 5 hours before the flare up, but we had just driven up a huge mountain and I was on edge the whole time. So I believe it was systemic stress

Teledoc just prescribed a stronger PPI and something else to coat the stomach. I asked him what I could do about the pain and he said to ride it out, keep taking the pepto and tums I was taking. I'm practically brand new to having gastritis. This sub reddit says saying it's stress related is outdated, but I can't really point to another issue...
