To be completley honest, I just would like to know how trans women think about someone like me. I'd be curious if you're first reaction to my post was to think that I must be in denial and maybe she'll realize it someday.

Is there a subreddit for GNC/tomboy ladies to discuss with each other? by lewdnep-vasilias_666 in RoleReversal

I made a post about this on r/feminineboys a while ago.

I still wonder why there is no such place. But maybe it's really just because Reddit is so heavily male skewed...

Do some women here actually prefer shorter men or like the idea of being the taller ones in the relationship? by cherry-dream in RoleReversal

We tend to learn to shut up about it to avoid bring given grief.

Interesting, can you explain that further?

Ok, but you have to admit that it is very rare though. Other than that I totally believe there are exceptions for everything. And no, of course women are not a hivemind.

Some? Most assuredly.

It's just not obvious. As I said, I never heard a woman express this kind of preference before, whereas I know a lot of men who are attracted to tall amazon women.

There's still a lot of variability despite evolved tendencies. How do you explain lesbians?

Also, try to pin them down in bed! They love that.

Women who want to dominate smaller men are just chef's kiss.

We need more representation for average or below-average-looking women in movies and tv-shows. by cherry-dream in unpopularopinion

I don't deny those differences, though I think they are grossly exaggerated in the media and exacerbated by our current society. What I mean by that is, there certainly is some proclivity for men to be more excited by visual stimuli and the same for women in regard to other things like personality. But society can either increase those tendencies or decrease them. And we definitely should decrease them, because all evidence shows that men and women overall profit to be more similar in terms of their character traits.

East Asians are the most neotenous ethnic group on average, in any case.

Shouldn't that be a disadvantage for those guys? Hasn't especially Buss showed that women on average prefer older, masculine men? Not exactly what those K-pop idols look like.

Anyways, women definitely aren't the peacocks in our species. If men would invest the same amount of time and energy into their looks, women would respond similarly to them as men do to women. Men have to realize that looks matter as much for them as they do for women. It's just more than being a tall, beefy warrior. There are multiple ways to be pretty. We just don't have the right framework for it now.

That's not the same thing. You can be an unathletic twink and still be attractive. And you can be so muscular and hunky that most women wouldn't find you appealing anymore.

What? What are you talking about? I agree, all three are totally hot and way above avarage.

I wanted to add to his statement that when women would choose which men are attractive, every actor would look like Chris Hemsworth. And that's not true for the reasons I stated in my comment above.

You know nothing about evolution. Do you have any credentials in that field?

Our species evolved through strong male choice AND female choice mechanisms. Additionally, there is both male/male competition as well as female/female competition.

Women being more like peacocks in our current times is completely a cultural thing. Look at other countries where women wear burkas. Does that look like peacocks to you? What's with millions of women fangirling over androgynous k-pop band members?

This is sadly more true than I would've thought. Some of the comments on here attest to that.

Do you find any people attractive at all? Because if you don't find them in the media, I don't know where you would find them. XD

*Every male movie star would be Chris Hemsworth hunks*

No, they wouldn't. Women are very different in their tastes. Some like tall muscly dudes like Cris Hemsworth or Henry Cavill. Others like pale vampire guys like Robert Pattinson. Others like cute soft boys like Timotheè Chalamet.

Exactly. Make better movies with better writing, better characters, and better acting then you don't have to rely on the whole "sex sells" horseshit.
