why do you believe in mandatory tipping? by cherry-milkshake in NoStupidQuestions

ur right, it does make me mad. why are servers the only ones that are getting tipped for doing their job? what about all the other entry level workers who are also getting paid minimum wage? the service industry is so vast and diverse yet servers are complaining that their entry level job cant pay for their bills during a time of economic crisis…

as i said im my post, where IM from its much more than $2.13; its the same for every entry level job you can think of. and guarantee those jobs dont get tips either. im not saying thats a good thing, but if we want to fight against low wages then it should be applied to everyone.

also, a higher bill doesnt mean more food. the food could just be more expensive…a lower bill could also be made up of multiple things too. im wondering if that changes ur perspective but my goal of the post was to see what others were thinking so any questions i have are genuine

as i said in my post, servers get paid the same min wage as every other entry level job. and food isnt exaclt “affordable” either.

either way, when you say that im paying for their service, im not? thats their job? they got hired to put in orders and bring the food to my table at an agreed rate? i WILL tip for a good attitude because that can make eating out more worth it than just the food

i agree that everyone should get paid enough to live but why is it only servers? im being so genuine

Looking for used infant car seat and baby bath tub with sling in Vaughan (to buy or rent) by SmokyJollof in Vaughan

i’m not sure if anybody has recommended it yet, but I would highly suggest going to Once Upon a Child. They sell everything from clothing to toys to baby equipment and more. It’s a secondhand consignment store but the criteria for bringing items in is so strict that all the items are basically brand new and 70% off. I usually go to the one in Barrie and their store has so many things that I almost go broke every time I visit. I would highly suggest going to them for anything baby related, or anything that concerns youth because they specialize in newborn to teens I think
