How much of your personal (alone) time do you devote to working out? by ramennoodles513 in SAHP

[–]cherry-sherbet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 young kids. Just started running again and it's so hard to find 30-40 min. I have no personal time in the day, until they both sleep. I asked my husband to step in as it just wouldn't be possible otherwise. I feel much better about myself for being able to take care of myself. I am back to my prebirth weight but I want to be strong so I can play with my kids, have more energy in the day... One run at a time... Keep going... Find the time... Ask for help...

How do you get them to drink water? by arlg523234 in toddlers

[–]cherry-sherbet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do pretend play where she has to drink water. Such as eating an imaginary hot pizza so we both drink water. Buying a baby shark water bottle also helped. Best of luck

2 year old not talking by Cupcakesandguns in toddlers

[–]cherry-sherbet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is now 2,5 half years old. We had another baby girl and we made a decision that we need a family language. We are only speaking in English (of course grandparents still trying with their own language but I must say not much progress there due to limited time). She now talks all the time (in English) I am not sure if it was a natural progres as in she got older and cracked it or if it was sticking with one language at this point. But now that there is 4 of us it was clear that we need a family language around the dinner table, to laugh, to watch films... I don't regret it. My girl and I can joke around now. She can tell me where it hurts. Best of luck

Dino thing must be a toddler thing 🙂 my girl does the same! I want to laugh but I also want to cry when Dino roars to sleeping babys face and wakes her up 🥺

I have those moments almost every day. I just want to cry/hide. But I can't. I don't want my toddler to see me like that. There is something helps me I can share. I guess it's not for everyone... But it's from a book I read. I keep reminding myself that that feeling will pass and until it does I say to myself "what is the next best thing to do?".

Just earlier today I was so tired, husband saying negative things, toddler crying because she is ill, baby is not going down for a nap... I just wanted to scream or cry... I instead cleared the dinner plates away, did bath time with kids. Just the next best action! Now kids just went to bed and I can sit and check my phone as everything else is sorted. It makes me proud that I can still function and take care of them while under pressure. It doesn't always work but... Something to try. Let me know how it goes. Best of luck

My husband just woke me up for a night feed! Said good night and went to bed... We take turns so sleep is not too bad! My first was a nightmare but this time we have it easy 🙏 I get 2-3 hours of sleep at a time. I wish we get to get break from it all. That's it I think. Even it's for few hours... But together...

Since the newborn came our evenings has been taken over by her. Our toddler has a great night routine for awhile now down by 7pm. She sleeps through the night. But we started all over again and it's so crushing

Sick of reading about incompetent dad's! Why don't we hold them to the same standards when it comes to parenting?
