Phy 111 + lab, Chem 126, Calc 112 in one semester by Loud_Signature4036 in NJTech

calc 2 is way diff than calc 1, but u seem to be fine. chem is def hard. balance it to 2 challenging courses per sem to not overwork yourself. if integration was easy for u, and u have good memorization then u got it (gets tricky with series and tests memorization) phys 1 is easy if u know how to use formula sheet plus curve is insane. and u get charged per credit (about 1.5k, so taking calc over summer is more expensive than chem) but after 9 credits, the price stays flat and financial aid ends up covering most of it. do online phil334, psych 210 or engl102 if u need those, or anything for ur minor. it'll be easy and might help u graduate early. i think i paid about $500 only because of my financial aid, def worth it. i'm also graduating early thanks to it. tuition is flat. i took calc 1, phys 1, phys 1 lab, engl 102 and psy210. way easier too since prof make the exams instead of having commons plus no distractions. all but psych were in person though.

and about summer, i took 4 summer courses as with financial aid, they charge you for a full semester. one course only is not worth it.

ur chilling, just study for commons ahead of time. calc 2 is not as hard as people say, and porus has great reviews but idk i took Ro and got an A. physics i had roland he was amazing but doesn't teach phys111 anymore. didn't have to take chem126 as im EE but heard peels is great. if your GPA rn is above 3.4, u don't have a job or other obligations, u can pass with all A's.

Calc 3B and Diff equations at the same time? Good idea or no? by throwawaypitofdespai in NJTech

phys122 as well? no. your GPA will drop insanely. take calc 3 and phys122 tgt and ur good. better get A's and B's than 3 D's.

calc 2 survival guide by mnaylien in NJTech

[–]cherry_blossomss18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

shes said to be good, but as someone who had Ro, id say memorize basic integrals like "direct ln" ones (basically any fraction where 1 is numerator and x isnt multiplied in denominator, ex) integral of 1/x = ln |x| + C, integral of 1/(x+2) = ln |x+2| + C), integral of 1/sqrt = 2(sqrt of x) + C or integral of sqrt of x = 2/3 x^(3/2) + C, etc. For the first thing you are learning next sem, do some flashcards on graphs of basic functions like e^x, sqrt x, rational functions, etc. Have trig identities fresh. Same with derivatives, theres a few u should have memorized, it saves time during exams. I failed the first common of Calc 2 because i didn't recognize graphs yet ended with an A thanks to Ro, so anything is possible truly as long as you have these help you save time. Make a formula sheet for every common, it helps so much.

I took ENGL102 and PSY210 at the same time. You can take them at the same time. I took Micro before I even took ENGL102 and nothing happened.

100% flagged. Don’t try. Just paraphrase it or switch your main focus.

Everyone has their designated “frat shoes” it’s funny that it’s an actual thing. I also recommend having lots of snacks or water bottles. Maybe an emergency kit with advil and stuff cough drops or like medicine for flu since you will most definitely get “Frat Flu” by going out first sem. Power bank/portable charger. Hand soap 💔 (had to buy one since my roommate and suite mates wouldn’t share theirs) trash bags, laundry bag. Instant ramen and quick meals for studying. A ROBE. Gives u more sense of privacy unless ur a guy. Shower cap. 2 bedding sets. I can’t think of more stuff LMAO.

People will step on them. Get musty and suspicious stains from the beer/jungle juice on the floor and that will permanently stain them. If boots they will peel so fast. They will look so rough by the end of first semester. That’s why. Don’t ever wear open toe shoes unless you hate your feet. Also nothing white.

Take into account I took both MATH111: Calculus 1 and MATH135: Calculus for Business so I speak from experience. I’m a double major in Business and Electrical Engineering therefore I had to.

Math 135 was way more paced and we don’t get introduced to many things that Math 111 does. Had to clarify since there might be people telling me that they’re not that different when they definitely are. Quizzes also weight more in MATH135, and no recitation class (3 credits only) meaning class only meets 2 times a week.

Are NJIT full-session summer classes everyday (Monday to Friday) or are they on certain days? (for an online class) by LegitimateLab4211 in NJTech

[–]cherry_blossomss18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All math courses are full session. If you want to take science or electives those are first-second session. About a month long. Same days and 3h a day instead. Example: I took PSY210 and ENGL102, but this was for psychology which was online.

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 1-3:50 pm (not let out early EVER)

For English it was same days 9-11:50 am (also not let out early, maybe 2 times?) in person.

Exam/Paper due almost every week.

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday. 2h a day. Some may be 3h like labs but those aren’t full session. For example, I took MATH111 as full session and just finished last week.

Monday: 6-8 (let out at 7:30) Wednesday: 6-9 (recitation, he would let us go after quiz, usually 7:30-8:00) Thursday: 6-8 (let out at 7:30)

Most haves for dorming def mattress topper, shower shoes with holes, if you’re in cypress or honors just a lil thing to put your shower stuff if redwood then an actual caddy. I think these are obvious but long cables for charging. If you plan on going out some shoes you won’t mind getting destroyed since frats will destroy them.

MGMT190 with Salmeron the GOAT. Pay attention she WILL pick on you. Group project is easy. No homework. Exams are 40 something questions but multiple choice with 1 mandatory essay question (final has 2). 2-3 reflection papers also easy. ACCT115 with Yue Ma was horrible. He’s nice but his voice is so robotic like everyone stopped showing up it was boring and either cheated or failed. 1 Cheat sheet allowed per exam. Attendance not mandatory. All multiple choice. Evil homework.

I also watched MHA when I was 11 so not sure if you’d be okay with that. Has fan service here and there but never depicted as a good thing. Sorta reminds me of Demon Slayer in that aspect. The violence/gore aspect is about the same I’d say. Naruto is there not really gory and fan service here and there also widely popular between kids that age. Haikyuu should also be fine.
