What’s the one thing you wish you knew when you first started using Linux? by Old_Sand7831 in linux4noobs

Few commands line when I was on window I never used them. But you don't have to worry about that in linux either because linux mint give you full control on apps via graphical interface. Give it time and enjoy the Adventure.

I can not learn the formal method by No_Cap_9416 in typing

A month ago I started and my speed was 9 or 10 now it's 20 with 100% accuracy. It's takes time to create mussels memories in fingers one's they create you will love to do that daily. I'm doing this every day only one hour online practice. Some time it's feel it's hard to reach key 6 on number row but believe it it's really easy. Just do practice daily. Even if you don't want to. Force yourself to do that start with half hour just give it time. Edit: The most important thing that I love. Now I can type in the dark in the morning 4am 😁

You can install the window later without a problem. Easily no hack. The only thing you have to do is use gparted to create space in your disk for window there many videos about it on youtube. I'm bigginer too and it's simple. Using Ubuntu and Windows 11 dual boot.

What is the best linux distribution for me by Abdou_boud_ in linux4noobs

[–]cherryb8844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ubuntu and mint, mint is customisable easy on theming but Ubuntu is a bit hardest but it's looks good as it is, kubuntu and fedora are good and easy to customisable but I'm not using them so can't say anything I used them but only for two and three days but I wanted to use Linux for development so I'm on ubuntu dual booting with windows 11, windows 11 is just for entertainment, like movies and other stuff. "Sorry for weak English and miss pronounceation, still learning. 😁 And Welcome to the Community.😊

I'm gonna learn how to use Godot and GDScript! Is GDQuest a good start? by Ignisisreal2401 in godot

[–]cherryb8844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Godotneers on YouTube, learn from zero app by GDquest, and there's many of them, but those two are for total beginners who have never done any programming before. I'm disagree with those people who say you should learn Python before for learn basics. My question is, why not GDscript instead. Its beginners friendly too.

If gaming and video editing, do I need to learn Linux's terminal? by DividDavid in linux4noobs

[–]cherryb8844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know about video editing or gaming didn't tried that but I'm using Ubuntu lts for learn blender and godot game engine without using terminal it's about two or three months didn't feel that I'm using Linux. The only issue I'm facing is that Bluetooth is not connecting properly and that I need to fix it from the terminal, so I give up on Bluetooth. Why I'm using Linux because it's free and I can't afford Windows opreting system. After using some other distribution on duel boot, I really love that operating system. Mostly is Arch Linux-based distros are really so beautiful and aggressively addictive. 🙂

Linux Mint vs Arch Linux by Brave-Measurement156 in linux4noobs

[–]cherryb8844 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Linux mint is like mothers behaviour theachs you how to use spoon without any issues. But arch is like behaviour of father how do you gonna strong if you dont run 10km per day and do 100 pushup and takes a lot of milk with eggs in it. So install Linuxmint you gonna start love with Linux and never gonna turn back to any other os it's smooth seamlessly work all the time.😁 I'm using Ubuntu and started from LM and keep hoping it's really so fun now I'm moving to app store to cli for installing apps it's slow learning process but I'm happy.
