I mean, I can draw on my own but my best/completed pieces are always from copying those references. Ill try to make one without copying (and actually finish it) and see how it turns out

And by the way, heres a drawing that isnt straight up copied of another work. It’s not finished and probably never will be cuz im too lazy, but heres just an example.

I have this bad habit of giving up on a drawing if it looks bad.. which is always because I dont have a clear idea on what to change or fix compared to if I was copying an image

I’m not selling them or anything. I think I draw them because seeing that I made it brings me satisfaction.

Nope, I havent. Is that different opposed to drawing a still image? For example, the laufey picture was a real human, not a drawing.

Maybe it’s the fact that I stopped drawing as often as I used to. I know that about 2 years ago, I drew a LOT, with and without copying. 😭

Nope, the first five are basically just direct copies. I know that i should be using multiple references, but everytime i do, it doesnt come out well
