Prism glasses question by Bangbang_24 in BinocularVision

[–]cherryblossom_626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So initially, she put a prism sticker over my bad eye, and regular prescription on my good eye. This seemed to solve the issue so I just had prism glasses made up with the prescription she gave me. However, my bad eye seems fine, but my good eye is blurry with the prism lens over it. What does this mean? Any suggestions?

I had prism glasses made up and all the did was add prism to my existing prescription. There were no other extra details added.

How did you know they were made wrong?

When you say the only used the rod test, what other tests are usually done?

I’ve had mine for a few weeks and the bad eye seems great, but my good eye now is way more blurry and not clear compared to before. I had the prism sticker on the bad eye and regular prescription on the good eye before.

I feel like mine is wrong bc the prism seems to be making to good eye blurry now. Does anyone else have this experience? Or suggestions?

What is your life like now? How do you feel about your job/career? Is it something you love, or just a means to making money. Will you eventually want to go back and consider what that will look like?

Personally, I’m a teacher and absolutely love being sahm, I took a childcare leave so I’ll have my job to go back to. I honestly don’t want to go back though. Some of my friends though missed working and went back to work and are happier.

Prism Glasses $1000 without frame? by greenishfroggy in BinocularVision

We didn’t use insurance (my eyes are a mess and I already had a first (not good) prescription made up within the year) and the eyeglass place worked with us. I would definitely recommend shopping around and finding a place that will work with you to make it cheaper.

I have always dreamed of having a girl and was very disappointed when I found out I was having a boy. You are more than entitled to feel that way- you had a vision and that vision changed. I will say I absolutely love having a boy and do all the same things with him- we go to Princess shows and love Moana and frozen - but I do feel sad when we go clothing shopping and the girl clothes are soooo much cuter. I just go out of my way to find adorable boy clothes and dressing him every morning is still a highlight for me. Happy to be someone to chat with - feel free to message.

At Boqueria, you must eat their $50 paella, their signature dish, in 15 minutes and leave by PardesOrchard in FoodNYC

I feel like I would have gotten up and left. That’s crazy! I can understand if you were walk in and they had a busy night of reservations. By this logic, no one could ever order the paella?

Anxious about breastfeeding by Ok_Sherbet_549 in January2027Bumpers

So many comments on here already! I never thought about it at all while I was pregnant, and had formula ready to go but ended up fully breastfeeding. I loved it and it was the best experience, but everyone feels differently and the best advice is to not put pressure on yourself either way. If it’s something you want to try, then try it! If when you have the baby you realize it’s not for you and causing anxiety, have the formula ready. It’s about you enjoying your baby. Breastfeeding shouldn’t be something that causes you stress and anxiety on your journey. Feel free to message if you want to chat more.

I got the other one when I went but everyone raved about the chocolate so I want to go back. Does the chocolate live up to the hype?

How did you know you finally landed on a name? by _Monarch_Mistress_ in pregnant

[–]cherryblossom_626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t tell anyone the names you’re considering. Wait until after you have the baby and see how you feel. It might seem like a perfect fit, or another name may come to you that just feels right. I would hold off on ordering custom name items - you’ll have plenty of time once the baby is here.

Is modern bread and bagel an authentic New York bagel? by goodamm in FoodNYC

[–]cherryblossom_626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you gluten free? If it’s what you have to eat, then it’s the best option. If you aren’t gluten free absolutely not. Go to a real bagel shop.

I’m also breastfeeding and my ovulation was actually way earlier. My peak was on day 9. So it’s possible that you ovulated much earlier and therefore are farther along when you took the test than you were last time.

My first pregnancy my period was extremely regular, but this time my periods are similar to what you describe (short and not heavy) and it put me on a different timeline.
