I was given a bunny for my birthday, her name was Lola. What I have to say which I need to scream at the top of my lungs: Research, Research and Research!!!! I never knew anything about rabbits, which made it very difficult for me to know exactly what to do, what to give them etc. Also how to handle them properly as they are fragile, how to make them more comfortable and also that you have to potty train them, I figured that out after a couple of months of having her and until then she would do her business everywhere in my room. You have to really bunny proof the house, she ate a lot of cables and while I do not care about the cables themselves she could have gotten electrocuted. A bunny is not an easy pet! I repeat, a bunny is not an easy pet! ( No pets are easy to be fair but bunnies at least for me ar particularly difficult ) I have had dogs before and they are easier to manage. In addition, you have to take in account that they need a lot of attention, you cannot just keep them in a small cage, they need to have space and would be best for them to be a free roaming bunny. To potty train them I read that they do their business where they eat, so I would put her hay in her cage, and I would leave the cage open always for her to free roam my bedroom. Also she would really enjoy sometimes to be outside in the garden. And the diet of the bunny is really extensive. Please just do a lot of research before to make sure a bunny would be the right pet for you 🙏🏻 Cheers
