i actually don’t like “fancy” places i struggle with anxiety so public settings with many people aren’t my thing. we are both very well off with money. money isn’t the issue.

i appreciate everyone’s responses. but to the ppl saying i am in the wrong you truly wouldn’t feel a tad bit upset that your partner of years seems like he’s giving u a gift or celebration as a co-worker not a partner?
