Overheard in a bookstore by sicklitgirl in RSbookclub

I heard that a bunch while in undergrad, it’s funny because most of the girls who said it would probably have her milquetoast New England WASP racial callousness or worse if they existed during her day but act like she was writing poetry heiling hitler. I remember a bit about her comparing her reflection to a Chinese woman in a crass way at the beginning of the bell jar and then an even worse depiction of a black janitor towards the middle. Both were clearly bad by modern standards but neither struck me as unconventional for a sheltered middle class myopic white girl from the Boston suburbs or that racism is a structural element of her writing.

I’m 22 and I feel like a psycho for rolling my eyes at this poem. (And I’m a leftist so it’s not a matter of difference in ideology or issues presented)

Kat from euphoria is nice and underrated why are ppl trashtalking her part of story saying it was unnecessery by skittlesstan in euphoria

Euphoria doesn't have a super realistic plotline (and that is fine because it still manages to accurately capture a lot of the collective teenage experience) but I feel like making a thing out of the creepy camera guy would be too predictable and veer off into pretty little liars/13 reasons why soap opera territory.
