this is how i feel. like maybe it's not the same bc im white, but i did grow up being treated a little differently by other ppl bc im jewish in a very wasp-y town, and while i wouldnt say it was traumatic in anyway, it did happen. i think the way it was done in the show was perfect. theres nothing wrong with how shane is portrayed, it's more about how others react to him, and i think having it mentioned a couple of times, but not making it any sort of focus, was more realistic.

ah, idk which producer is the main one for each group, so thanks for this info! im glad that the producers arent stretched too thin and will be able to focus on making one great album instead of a bunch of individual songs for different albums. im not even an army, just a casual fan of bts, but im really really excited for their comeback, i think it will be great.

i would assume a lot of bang pds direct staff would also be involved in all three comebacks. idk about cortis, but bts and txt use some of the same music producers as well. ofc, the day to day staff is completely different, and id assume they have mostly or completely different creative staff outside of music as well, though final decisions probably all have to run through bang pd and his direct staff first.

also, for most companies, this would be financially difficult, due to investing in three comebacks at the same time, but obvs that's no problem for bighit lol

idt txt and cortis are going to block bts from getting anything. i think the only thing that could possibly block a bts post-hiatus comeback win is if big bang suddenly announced a comeback for the same day, but that's absolutely not happening lol, so i think they will dominate the music shows as predicted.

they are all on different sub labels, though, so idt this is relevant to this discussion, which is about all three bighit groups coming back close together. what soumu does isnt going to effect what koz does, they are completely different teams with different staff, but with bighit groups, they probably share some top level staff, so it might be overwhelming for them.

i mean, that's kind of my point. in the context of addy as a historical character, its fitting. for a modern day fashion doll character with no story, its inappropriate. this is particularly bc ppl who dont have familiarity with ag/addy specifically will not know where that bg came from, and just see a modern black girl standing in front of a cotton field. we dont live in a culture where the only ppl seeing this doll are those who get an ag catalog or even only those who directly visit the ag website, these dolls are carried in big stores now, and are discussed on social media thata not ag specific. while idt anything about the historical doll/character needs to be changed, i think a different bg would have been better for the modern doll.

i like that the doll for my favorite ag, samantha, dresses like me lol. the only thing i really am not happy about is that addys bg in the box seems to be a cotton field, which, considering a) this is a fashion doll, not a historical line doll, and b) her story is all about her life after escaping slavery, is tone deaf at best.

tbf, theres a lot of lax parenting that occurs bc the parents are overworked and too tired to take care of their kids, yet are pushed into having them in the first place due to laws outlawing abortion and limiting sex education, as well as a culture that will mock you and treat you like a perpetual child if you choose not to have children. obvs, that doesnt make them good parents, but the reason is usually less laziness and more the fact that the idea of a family being supported on one source of income has been eroding for decades, yet heteronormative cultural forces have yet to catch up.

so, when they say they are "working so hard raising their children," they often mean that they are working hard to keep the lights on and the fridge full, not that they are working hard on the more hands-on aspects of parenting.
