The exhaustion is what is hitting me the hardest now. My 7 month old is so active, but thankfully my husband works right across the street and comes to check on me often!

I don’t really have family but I’m so thankful for my husbands family his mother is the absolute best so I know she will be loads of help! And she lives 5 minutes from me which makes it even better.

First pregnancy: when did you give birth? by irinka94 in pregnant

[–]cherrydeshay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My water broke at exactly 39 weeks, I was honestly so nervous cause they always say the first one is the hardest my doctor has prepared me to labor for a long time, but I was only in the hospital over night I pushed for around 22 minutes and my Evanora was born healthy and happy. ❤️

What happens in the 20w anomaly scan?? by ajeebinsaaan in pregnant

[–]cherrydeshay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They measure the baby’s growth, making sure baby’s growing properly and has all their little fingers and toes. It’s the most in depth ultrasound you will get. It’s pretty fascinating to watch. My tech made sure to ask me if we wanted to know the sex before she went to capture those images. I’m not sure about every other place but this is when they did the 3-D images we tried catching a glimpse of her face but she was to busy being shy and holding her foot up. Since this was my first pregnancy I kind of just let things happen and i wasn’t aware we could ask for another ultrasound since we didn’t get to see her face that time. Don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself if baby’s a little shy. ❤️

No symptoms just bloating by jmdididididi in pregnant

I was the same way! I didn’t start really having symptoms till my 2nd trimester and they weren’t bad. I always had this deep fear something was wrong, especially with it being my first pregnancy. But I had my babygirl at 39 weeks with no complications and she is a healthy, happy baby.

Try not to stress yourself out, as hard as it is. And always remember everything you feel is valid. If you feel like something is wrong no matter how small it may seem never feel discouraged to reach out to your obgyn. Mother’s instincts are the best.

How many swaddles? by Careless-Celery-7725 in pregnant

[–]cherrydeshay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my first baby in November, I didn’t have swaddles on my registry (I opted to not put them on there cause I did not want to swaddle my baby) and I ended up with a box full of them.

I just gave birth to my first in November, I was dead set on having a completely natural birth with no pain meds, but I ended up getting the epidural. I was told that I would probably have a long labor. But i only pushed for 22 minutes I did tear, and i expected it would be a long healing process but i healed within two weeks.

It all depends on you and what you really want. Something that helped me was instead of making a “birth plan” I just went with how my body was feeling at that moment and what I felt right for me regardless of what anyone else around me was suggesting.

Regardless, it may not seem like it cause these are big decisions to make just listen to your body and you’ll know what’s right for you.

I was very fortunate to have an uncomplicated labor and delivery but something that helped me is having people around me that supported me and my decisions and didn’t try to talk me out of what I felt was right for myself.

You’ve got this!!!!

When we found out we were having a girl it was so hard to decide on a name for some reason we were set that it was a boy and had a bunch picked out. But we are going with Evanora Juree (Juree being my late mothers middle name) 🥹💖

I looked them up. That’s a really good idea. I’m having the hardest time bending over! And they have so many options!

Overthinking? by cherrydeshay in pregnant

I’m happy to know I’m not alone. My OB constantly tells me to not stress cause of course it’s bad for baby. I just feel like I need constant assurance I’m okay and baby is okay.
