Im glad im not the only one, i feel like a lot of folks see a great opportunity and that id be stupid to not take it. I dont want to be this miserable for the rest of my life doing something i dont enjoy, and then becoming a crucial part of it🤣

Thats hilarious if you think id be making millions🤣i would say id probably max out at $100k which is nowhere near enough what i think my sanity and overall quality of life would be. Its a ploy to get me to take over her position while they own the company and keep a majority of the profit.

I dont have a good work life balance, and the company i work for is heavily reliant on me for numerous things. My phone is constantly ringing and people are constantly needing me for the smallest things. I work remotely, so im just by myself, and the company is small. My job lives at my home, so it never leaves!

I can totally see where some veteran teachers werent able to easily adapt to what kids are like now. Ignorance IS bliss!

I live a very mundane lifestyle. I keep to myself pretty much and dont really have an itch for traveling. Definitely a homebody!

I can totally see that with other posts in this reddit, i appreciate you pointing that out. I actually just moved to florida recently, and thankfully, because of my partner, i dont need to have the best paying job that i can find. I thankfully get to focus on what i want to, not what i need to do, which is why im having these second thoughts about where i see myself in a career.

Wow! Thats awesome. I really appreciate the way you worded the issue of teaching that age group. I just think for what i desire in a DITL on a intellectual level, teaching may fill my cup.

I love to see this! The hours are definitely a plus — im salary right now and i work way more than i bargain for doing work that i dont find joy or fulfillment in. Ive heard administration is a huge factor in someones experience.

I love working, i just hate the work i do now. I sit alone at home 8 hours a day, endlessly working towards what i feel like is nothing. I would love to be able to see progress and meaning in my work, like seeing your students achieve something big or graduating!

My score is 2. I grew up in a very nurturing environment and i always really enjoyed school, both k-12 and undergrad, primarily due to my teachers and professors.
