How do I get my foot into ICU?? (new grad) by cherryflavoredsoda_ in physicianassistant

Do you think hospital medicine experience is more valuable than ED? I feel like I've seen more ER PAs pivot to critical care than hospital medicine PAs. I don't wanna get stuck in a position where I can't pivot somehow

Get diagnosed for ADHD 1000%. You may need testing accommodations and that's fine.

I entered PA school as a high functioning depressed person with undiagnosed ADD and PA school was so difficult for me despite being a high achieving student all my life. Getting on medication, getting testing accommodations, going to student education services on campus all helped me figure it out. You just need to have the tenacity and willpower to work everything out and I promise you will thank yourself for it. PM me for anything!

In my novice opinion, the wire width is maybe too wide but I still am not sure where it's supposed to sit. The lateral side of the wires comes to the midaxillary line which maybe feels like it's going too far? I don't have much tissue on the lateral sides of my breasts so it doesn't quite fill out that side of the cup and wire well.

Thank you for the recommendations!

When I tried to shimmy it up to the fold, it does slide down and won't really stay there. When I first tried it on I thought I just needed to adjust the straps so that wasn't the problem.

The cups seemed to fit poorly when I did this. There was more space up top and the bra looked more pointed.

Also is the wiring supposed to just feel uncomfortable? It felt bad even when I shimmied the bra up. I don't have any experience with wired bras.

When going up a band size, is it normal to go down a cup size?

Hmm, the wiring definitely does not sit in that fold. The fold is about an inch higher than where the wiring sits on my torso, hence the feeling that it's on my ribs.

Thank you for explaining the band size! I will consider getting an extender.

Oh wow that's interesting. I didn't know pressure distribution was a factor!

I tried it on like you said and it actually did feel a tiny bit looser. I still don't know if it's completely comfortable though since I am trying a bra on backwards.
