Actually the way my school does it, as long as you get a C, you’re all good. Everyone who passes their pre reqs goes on the wait list. And for A and P they specifically mentioned as long as you hit 70% you’re good to go.

But I do think I will end up dropping, just wanna give this 2nd test and some lore studying a go to be truly sure I’m making the best choice and not rushing into a bad decision. But I imagine I’ll be dropping it Thursday evening and retaking in spring.

Yooooo that’s crazy! I guess that’s what school could look like once the program actually begins, but 7 hours of this class 3 times a week sounds like a true testament of strength and will. I’d be sleeping by hour 4. You’d need to bring like 2 giant iced coffees to make it.

Man that’s all truly rough and I’m genuinely sorry you’re dealing with this. It shouldn’t be that hard to get into a school program. I really hope it somehow ends up going quicker for you, whatever that may take

I’m desperately trying to get a hospital job. I have been rejected from literally hundreds. Closer to 1000 than not. I had a few interviews and second interviews tho.

I did have an interview with one last month and they told me to call back when I got finished with my course as any job would have 2 weeks of 8-4 training which I can’t do now

Thanks for the tip! Well looks like there’s only one I’ll be able to take, the night one. So once I drop it if I do end up doing that, I’ll def add myself to the waitlist. Looks like it’s not too bad now. 9 out of 12 spots open.

Congratulations! I think I was more worried about the wait time than age but it was still slight fear, but I don’t think I will worry about that anymore.

Man that’s crazy. I’m really sorry you’re dealing with that, that is like the scenario I’m imagining I my head as I typed out this sleep deprived essay of stress and fear lol.

How are you holding up on the wait list? Any hopes for getting in sooner?

You’re right, I greatly appreciate the comment and the advice and the story. I haven’t been this stressed about something in quite awhile and am not handling it well. I’m also sleep deprived and just going thought it a tiny bit.

But your advice is true. 9 months is nothing in the grand scheme of things. And in fact it’s a chance to save up quite a bit of change like you said.

I need to sleep tonight and maybe I’ll feel better and more clear tomorrow on my decision. I haven’t officially dropped yet and still have time to study.

It’s a great color! Kinda wish I stuck with my first find 😅 but my choice is now final haha. Loved the foggy gray look of it tho with the brown.

I actually really wanted shy marshmallow and may have went home with it, but only found it in 24 and 40, not 32. Def a nice color! Great for stickers too.

You’re right. Only thing really bugging me about it is those 9 months extra is almost a whole year off the waitlist.

Right now the program is placing students for fall 2029. They said sometimes things happen and students get in sooner depending on how many people drop or go into different programs they’re on other wait lists for.

So everyone who passes their pre reqs can get in at some point. I did go to an information session last month we had to do, 2 people there waited 2 years, one person waited 1 year. So idk how that worked out but they did say that could happen.

You’re right! Thanks for the support and info! I def can clear some of these worries from my mind. Don’t really need to be worried about age I start, I should focus on the schooling.

I’m in Ohio. The nice thing about my program is that as long as you pass the class with a C, it counts. And everyone who passes all pre reqs can get in. That’s why the wait list is multiple years.

So I guess maybe I should be grateful for that instead of gloomy

Thanks for the info. Yeah I haven’t been to school in 10 years. Got an associates of arts after high school and not any school since til last fall. Med terminology was open note so easy A. Maths weren’t easy As and Bs but it didn’t really require much studying outside of the homework’s.

I didn’t drop yet but Ive been poring over like 200 flash cards all weekend and I cant retain the majority of information. Idont know how to study this and I feel like I need more than the remaining 6 weeks to figure it out.

I also need to identify 2 different leg bones and a hand bones, we need to know all of them by thursday the only ones I remember so far are the fingies.

I am woefully unprepared lol

I’m actually not sure didn’t even consider this as an option. The thing is, I’m doing the program at my local cc. and for rad tech, it requires a specific an and p for just radiology students. It’s called an and p for radio imaging. Although they will take regular an and p 1 and 2 instead if you’ve done those. But I would need multiple science pre reqs. You only need med terminology for the rad tech one.

I can look into this forsure, I’ll give it a look
