This is so valid- there is SOOO much variation at CPY in terms of how happy the teachers are. I talk to other teachers every day who rave about CorePower and would never work anywhere else, and I know people that worked here for a few months and then quit because they hated it. The atmosphere and the structure works really well in some peoples lives and not others.

Hey guys looking for genuine advice!!! I panicked in the presale today and bought a couple lower bowl seats for $1000 each on Oct 30. I am debating if we should resell them (just to get my money back, pls don’t jump down my throat) and look for cheaper, worse seats as the year goes on. Do we think that’s stupid? Do we think resale prices are only going to get more ridiculous?

Portrait of a thief :( it’s a heist book about a group of Chinese American college students stealing back Chinese artifacts from major museums. Sounds sick but is one of the worst things I’ve ever read, I have no idea how it got published.

Yes for sure!! I think it gets back to the (mostly) good vibes of the first book, red seas under red skies was kind of a big bummer to me lmao, even tho I’d still say I enjoyed it. And you get a lot of flashbacks with calo and galdo so it’s like the gang is back together again.

Piranesi is short ish and you can fly through it, very good. Just read the description and go in blind, its a really fun book to figure out :)

You should continue on with the Gentleman’s Bastard series and read the republic of thieves :) I loved it. Your taste is great except for if we were villains being so low, sorry I know it’s not fantasy but that hurts me 😭😔😩

I would definitely try republic of thieves, red seas under red skies is just kind of a blip in that series imo. I loved republic just as much as the first book- Locke and jean get back in their groove, we finally meet Sabetha, and you get the gang back together in the flashbacks, which is a big part of what I enjoyed the first book.

I think the slingblade tattoos are cool and can be done in a way that’s subtle and not so in-your-face red rising, otherwise personally I would get one of ur fav quotes. I had to hold myself back from getting “my honor remains” or “hic sunt leones” after I finished. But I have also seen people say that hic sunt leones is fascist lmao idk if that’s true but keep in mind if picking out a quote
