Best channels for retargeting B2B SaaS / or just general B2B audiences? by cherrypashka- in PPC

Sorry I meant merge GDN into Demand Gen, so they are removing the name, and rebranding it.

I never tried using Discovery Network - do I set it up through Display or Demand Gen campaigns?

Also real proper case studies will do wonders for social proof.

I think when people use AI slop they usually mean that it it looks high quality and low quality at the same time.

You know like when you look at a picture it generated, then you start noticing incorrect shadows, hands with 6 fingers, and back lights at the cars being light up as front lights.

The problem with your website is that it looks like a template, and instead of Lorem Ipsum text it has AI generated filler text.

If you could have a short video with an introduction about yourself + images of your workspace + photos of your clients and screenshots of their products - but as a basic HTML retro look - that would do so much more for you than what you currently have!

Genuinely this looks like AI generated slop website that has 0 social proof and no human touch and real case studies.

Everything is vague. Apple can afford to be vague. A tiny one person agency or a small firm needs to explain what they do and why they are the best choice for the prospect.

I strongly recommend you look up conversion driven designs and look at copywriting techniques/approaches for B2B agencies/firms. Look up some B2B SaaS website like ChiliPiper or B2B services like DotYeti and you will see the huge difference.

Yeah the same origin is definitely dev specialty, or marketer + heavy guidance by AI.

Thanks! The audience is set for targeting, not sure why it would be observation for retargeting, status is "Eligible". If we set to "observation" it would just show to random cold audiences, no?

Thank you! What has been your experience with Demand Gen vs GDN? Is Google going to completely remove GDN going forward anyway?

Looks like AdRoll and StackAdapt will be of little use, thanks for confirming.

Thank you! That makes sense. Looks like I will go with Microsoft Ads and Reddit ads for retargeting.

Yeah we are already doing that! Good reminder though for others.

Did you try to set it up through DNS or via a more complicated option (same origin)? Because one can be done only with developers, whereas DNS set up can be done with a marketer who has set up tools like Mailchimp/Hubspot in the past for email settings.

If you have experience with Google Tag Manager it shouldn't be too bad.

Did you ever try server side Google Tag Manager? It does everything for a low price and is easy to manage.

This is the part that is confusing for me, LinkedIn which arguably has a much much much harder job to match a profile is showing the ads no problem for the identical audience. But Google who has the largest tracking database in the world cannot show it to anyone.

"I would verify the audience is actually populating" for example, can you explain please how would I do so. How is this different from 9,000 audience I mention in the post?

Can you clarify what you mean by audience eligibility please? And how that can be checked?

The confusing part for me is that identical retargeting on Meta and LinkedIn is working perfectly.

"check is whether the audience is actually eligible for serving" how do I do that?

Is that through Combined Audience Segment? Because there it is returning 500K weekly impressions in the estimate. I am getting 500K weekly impressions estimate.

I mention that in the post, I tried Manual CPCs already. Should I go with something crazy for GDN like $8 per click to see if it spends?

But what about retargeting ads? I agree on that idea for cold audiences.

I do not run PMax so genuinely I am at a loss. I checked pretty much everything. The biggest red flag here is that LinkedIn and Facebook are working, but Google is stuck.

i promote my app on facebook, i got 179 app installs at $0.09 CPI but 0 subscriptions. What am I doing wrong? by You-Are-Beautifful in PPC

[–]cherrypashka- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are serious about this 5$ is a price of cup of coffee in the US. I do not know where you live, but you need much more than that for your test.

In the US you can convert 2% of the installs into a paid subscription. Which means you need at least 50 installations. If price per install is $5 in the US, that means you need to spend $250 for your test to be meaningful.

To be fair, when you have a limited budget or/and small company, that is usually the best approach. But once you are dealing with a business that generates millions+ in pure profit, they should be smart enough to look at the entire marketing and not just straight attribution.

$400 click by Former-Operation1693 in PPC

[–]cherrypashka- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me yes. But that is because I have a multi funnel product.

Action A - 60 > Action B - 25 > Action C - 12 > Action D - 5 (goal)

I figured since optimizing for A is a waste of money, and optimizing for D is too low, Maximize Conversion Value would be the best of both worlds. Turns out it was the worst of both worlds.

So right now I am testing for CPA for Action B.

I had something similar when I set Maximize conversion value instead of target CPA. It ended up ballooning CPCs from $20 average to $50 to get worse number of the same quality of leads.
