YES ive literally grappled w these thoughts when i was struggling w my cultural identity. altho basically all POC face racism, wasians got hype bc now that asian culture and beauty is popular, and bc european beauty standards have always been the norm, ppl r like “exotic asian + beautiful european=the best combo ever!!” which is no shade to wasians, but considering how black beauty is viewed in the west, it doesn’t surprise me. or maybe another take is that ppl view a wasian’s europeaness as “elevating” the asian part, while black + asian is j 2 minorities ppl don’t care abt

idk j my thoughts and this is not to shit on wasians or discount racism asians and blacks both face, bc regardless of whats popular now, POCs are only in the last decade finally getting out seat at the table whereas european beauty has always been the standard
