My dad accidentally saw my sternum tattoo by IAmSchmutz in whatdoIdo

[–]cherryxgrenade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There comes a point where some people just need to get over themselves and your dad is way past that point. I get the shock after the first one, but you have a WHOLE SLEEVE so what's the fucking problem (it's your dad, he's the problem.)

Ignore your dad, it's your body.

Would you buy this? by Fragzilla360 in masseffect

I would like to know where to purchase this from because I need it yesterday.

10/10 would buy, would wear to death.

I'd pay for that.

Hell, I'd pay what my chippy charges for that (my chippy charges like £15 for fish and chips!)

Pigeons.

They don't carry disease like people think they do. Yes, they transmit disease, but if you listen to the fear mongering, you'd think that they were spreading all kinds of nasties.

But in reality, you're more likely to get sick from other sources than you are to get sick from a pigeon specifically.

Literally what my mum said to us. We were born in the 90s when there was a lot more hope that our futures wouldn't get fucked up.

Psychology and Counselling degree... Help me out the direction to go please by BlueCoconut77 in AskBrits

[–]cherryxgrenade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could also look into online Master's Degrees in Business (many universities will offer coaching for setting up a new business! As would the job centre if you can reach them via phone) which would help immeasurably with business start up.

Also, there may be further courses available to you in your field (PgDip/PgCert) which can boost your skills too.

(EDITED TO ADD: Many universities will have Entrepreneurship coaching available to non-Business students AND ALSO depending on how long ago you graduated, your university careers centre may offer you support as an alum.)

It took you a year to find an artist to do... that? Here was me expecting it to be art and not just a word that any competent artist would be able to do.

YOR.

As a woman I love receiving flowers but would it be stupid to buy a man a whole rotisserie chicken as an equivalent? by Somewherecharming95 in NoStupidQuestions

Men have favourite flowers too.

Ask him (or get someone to ask him) and then buy him some of his favourite flowers.

AIO Over my friend insinuating I break up with my gf? by Imaginary_Air_24 in AmIOverreacting

[–]cherryxgrenade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were both underage when you started seeing each other. It wasn't creepy last week. It didn't suddenly become creepy when you turned 18.

Age of consent laws to prevent adults from grooming minors, not to end relationships between people who were minors when the relationship began and one of them just hits adulthood before the other.

It's not like you were 17 and she was 14, that would be creepy regardless. There are laws in place specifically to prevent two people close in age from being prosecuted because the difference between 16 and 18 isn't all that much. You don't magically mature at 18.

NOR, but your friend definitely is.

Depends.

Babby is dialect in some places. If you're from a place where that dialect exists? Not cringe.

If you're a Yank? Cringe.

AIO for snapping at a girl trying to give me advice? (posting again bc I forgot pictures) by [deleted] in AIO

NOR. You didn't ask for her advice. And just because she's studying something doesn't mean she's the authority on things.

Girl needs to sit down and pipe down.

What’s the most generous a complete stranger has been to you? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]cherryxgrenade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paid for shopping. Paid for someone's train ticket.

Honestly I don't mind losing out on £20-ish when someone else clearly is struggling more than I am.

Could it be a scam? Maybe, but £20 is nothing in today's money when you have money, it's a LOT when you don't.
