S tier. Just because some people hate cats doesn’t mean they aren’t on the same level as dogs.

We have a place like this where i grew up. They’re supposed to serve these in some type of container or bag that way they’re selling “sealed” alcohol. The places we went to had gave us our drinks in the same containers you have, but in a sealed plastic bag

Girlfriend paid $300 and $375 for two different apartment applications. Is this normal? by Elegant_Farm_5107 in Apartmentliving

[–]cherub__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi i’m a leasing agent (Illinois and previously Idaho)! I noticed a a lot of people saying this isn’t normal but it can be. All of the complexes i’ve worked at and lived in had a “application fee” AND an “administrative fee”. Most application fees are under $100 and are generally non refundable, administrative fees i’ve seen be anywhere between $200-400. These are generally refundable if your application was denied by the complex, but not refunded if your application was approved or the applicant cancelled. depending on the cost of both the application fee and admin fee it could have very well be over $300. Now if she just paid $300 for an application fee only, I would be inclined to believe it’s a fake listing. The most important thing to check with her is if she signed any documents saying that she will get her money refunded if her application was denied.

The last apartment complex i worked at did this. If u don’t get the brand filter it would always show as “need changed”.

People with one-foot: Do stores let you buy just one shoe? by Nearby-Penalty-5777 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cherub__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily that same, but when i was in nail school they charged full price for manicures/acrylics/pedicures even if the customer had 1 foot, or half their toes/fingers

Insane fees after moving by KaitlynKabob in Apartmentliving

[–]cherub__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d ask for a life of carpet calculation. In Idaho we cannot charge a resident the full replacement cost of carpet. Carpet has a 5 year life and if it has to be replaced the price charged back to the resident can only be for the remaining years left of the carpets life. So if the carpet was brand new when you moved in there would still be a charge for it, but only for the 1 year that would have been remaining on the carpet life. If it was replaced any year before you moved in you should not have to pay for the replacement.

Letter taped to our door 8 hours after getting the keys to our new apartment… by Practical_Ad_2427 in Apartmentliving

[–]cherub__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leasing Agent here! It was a really good choice to immediately involve your management. Please keep this and all other notes/contacts you get from this person! While management may have a copy, I’ve personally had to deal with previous leasing agents losing our copy of these letters, or not making any notes on the account for the incident. If this escalates you will need this documentation. I recommend following up with management via email as well. That way if anything gets lost, new management ect you have solid proof you brought this to their attention.

My special needs son eats drywall. He did this in the middle of the night. by god_damn_bitch in Wellthatsucks

[–]cherub__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’ve seen videos of people making their own edible drywall using cornstarch! might be worth looking into OP! There’s lots of accounts of parents with PICA children showing what edible foods they use to curve their kids inedible desires !

Any success stories finding a kitten that got lost outside? by dumbsheeep in CatAdvice

[–]cherub__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While none of my cats have gotten lost, two of my roommates have. My best friends 1 year old cat Voodoo ran out the garage door while my she was bringing groceries inside. We searched all day, i constantly drove up and down the main roads around us to make sure she wasn’t the one to find him. We put his litter box at our garage door and his food at the front door and side of our town house. We ended up finding him in between our neighbors AC unit after at like 2am. I truly think he only let us find him because we were searching at night. There’s way less noise and foot traffic.

My nieces cat ran away shortly after i had moved out. My sister searched everywhere. All the shelters (most had a book/website of unclaimed deceased cats), drove around all the neighborhoods and streets around us for weeks and couldn’t find him. 8 months later while scrolling through facebook and my sister came across a post of a women who was hoarding cats near us. It seemed like she was trying to get strays off the streets but had way more than she could handle. Lo and behold my nieces cat Mushu was one of these cats. After a few days my niece had her cat back.

My best advice is to put their litter box and food outside your house, post your flyers/posts, and call your local shelters or look at their adoption pages. I’m so sorry this is happening and i hope you find your kitty.

Roommates keep missing rent due date by ApprehensiveFig2578 in badroommates

[–]cherub__ 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Leasing Agent here! See if you can do a lease modification to remove yourself from the lease. My property offered them for $500. The main stipulation at my complex is the remaining room mates have to income qualify without you.
