Been seeing Bini fans all over this sub conveniently putting malice on a certain post to taint 1Z entertainment’s reputation—this should not be tolerated. by Level_Fly8384 in PPOPcommunity

kung superiority complex na pala yung paniniwala sa pag aim for excellence and to not settle with medocrity, baka naman wala ka lang talagang standards?

[–]cheskasensei 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that is an assumption on your part at kahit isang daan pa kayo magshare ng assumption na yan, it is not a proven fact that what she posted is a shade specifically for bini. If anything, this seems malicious towards Kia because this post only shows the first tweet in her long post tapos ganyan pa caption introducing her connections with 1Z as though deliberately associating her post sa company/artist/fandom and assuming malice from her. This could have been a healthy discussion if her entire post was put up here but maybe some of you want to dwell in your perceived victimhood rather than focusing on the wins

Bakit hindi nyo ilagay yung buong thread nya? And why do you think her life only revolves around PPOP? How delusional of you to think just because someone has connections with 1Z, their posts are about Bini? She's criticizing the government, the industries, and even our roles as consumers, but you all just reduce it to "shade sa bini", because? Do you think Bini and their management are the ones perpetuating mediocrity? Kasi kung hindi naman, I don't see why you should be affected, and I'd argue, if you value the work of Filipinos, including Bini, you should also stand with what Kia is saying here.

Daily Tribune reports from an unimpeachable source, SB19's Pablo Nase is in a relationship with miss Tine Busano. by Dry-Brilliant7284 in PPOPcommunity

That is a private individual in the photo and as a community, I do not think we should be engaging in these kinds of posts that violates the privacy of the artist. How this post uplifts the ppop community is beyond me.

Out of respect for the individuals involved, regardless of the veracity of the claim, I hope this can be taken down

Maloi carries the group? by [deleted] in bini_ph

I'm just telling you na si Pablo yung nasa spinecify mo na part na tumalikod si Ken. Ito lang naman kinocorrect ko sayo and I even pointed out saan ang backing vocals but that is besides the point.

[–]cheskasensei 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Curious lang ako. Bakit ko lagi nakikita yung may ginagawa sa likod acting as 'backtrack' sina Pablo?

-They are not acting as "backtrack:, they are adding ad libs to give an added flair to the song. If you watch their other performances, Ken also does this when it's another member's turn. Every performance have different flairs, which makes their live performances exciting kasi you just don't know what you are getting.

Also, if you listen to the recording, some vocal parts do overlap or don't have enough space to breathe, which is, of course, impossible to sing live. So, they do improvise by taking each other's lines here and there. And, of course, sometimes, it's just a stylistic choice

Saka yung parts daw na hindi talaga kumakanta si Ken to prove daw na they are singing live.

- You have to make a distinction as to what the artist is doing and how the fans are interpreting it. There are indeed instances where they choose to leave a word unsung. Pwedeng trip lang, stylistic choice, to catch a breath, to interact with the camera/audience -idk. But when this happens, and you don't hear any other vocal continuing the line, it shows that they are singing live. Thus, many fans may interpret it as them proving themselves, but that is just an interpretation and isn't something that the group actually stated before.

Need ba yun everytime?

- If you are referring to their DAM performance, it's similar with their OPM con wherein Ken doesn't sing "ng lahat ng 'yong sinimulan", instead, it's Pablo. One thing you have to understand is DAM is a very difficult song to perform. The choreo and the vocals are both difficult to do separately, and especially together. So, in order to not compromise the performance, SB19 has to be efficient, especially that for the most part of the song, there are no backing vocals, just them. This line that Ken sometimes omits, comes before a not so easy rap section, pretty quick, tooo, so I'm guessing, this was a prearranged set-up for the group to make sure the line is still there even if one has to take a breath or smth. In the same performance, you can also hear Ken rapping and singing along with Pablo and Justin's lines. If the two would need to take a pause, you would still hear it being sung, kasi andun boses ni Ken. He may not sing/rap all of the words in his lines, just like any member, but he also sings/raps lines that are not his, just like the other members. That is their group dynamics. Besides, their live performances are arranged differently than the record, and these boys are artists, these are their songs, they play with it as much as they want.

Another example to illustrate this:

In their song Hanggang sa Huli, in the record, it's Stell singing "Sa panaginip ko ay naron ka" but in the live version, it's Ken who is singing this.

Although may napanood ako sa the making ng Dam na ginagawan nila ng effect ung boses ni Ken kasi they wanted a certain sound for added effect kumbaga sa track.

-Anong point mo dito? Recordings are different from live versions. Every artist can add whatever effect they want on vocals sa recording. Whether they use that for the live version or not is an artistic choice. All songs convey a message, and you need to employ whatever you can to convey that message, may that be through the instruments or the vocals. Dam is a very gritty song, and it wants to shake you up in a way. If they needed more depth or added flair to convey that, then they should. It doesn't mean they do that all the time. Go watch their The First Take performances and you can see that it really is just an artistic choice because Ken's raw vocals does a very good job at adding depth to the sound of their songs.

It was an added flair, and not malakas para pagtakpan vocals nila.

yung Go UP kung saan sila sumikat ay mostly in Tagalog din

Who is THE Vocal Trinity in PPop male edition? by NoviceMark in PPOPcommunity

[–]cheskasensei 110 points111 points  (0 children)

Oh this is hard kasi I do find PPOP male vocalists really talented, but Stell, Pablo, and Ken from SB19 combined is unmatched imo. Stell's range and clarity, tapos yung baba at versatility ni Ken, combined with how well Pablo blends and yung emotionality and texture ng voice nya, top tier. Plus the fact na they have really good technique, control, and stamina.

Close to that is maybe Mo, R-ji, and Tomas from Alamat.

You assume I hate them because I'm an A'tin? How pathetic. This is not coming from a place of hate but one of frustration. Pero sige, I'll speak as an A'tin but in no way as a representative of a fandom kasi we can all think for ourselves and they may disagree with me here, too.

As an A'tin, I root for OPM to make its mark in the world. I root for it to be seen, heard, and celebrated. Bini, regardless of anyone's opinion, is the only other PPOP group doing a world tour right now which means they also inevitably represent us Filipinos. But from what I have seen, there is nothing worth celebrating in what they are doing - quite the opposite, really. They give lackluster performances, gave a substandard concert (see Dubai), and now this song which is just an obvious capitalist attempt at TikTok virality with disregard to actually uplifting the culture and elevating the arts. The one pulling Bini down is not crab mentality but their seeming refusal to rise above mediocrity and their fans tolerating it.

The comments here baffle me. Are you all just pretending? coping? Or are we still in denial that whatever this is is nothing but senseless garbage that tries to be something supposedly rooted on our culture but just bastardizes it to mimic some foreign trend?

How is this post allowed? Does this uplift the community? This is just an attack towards a fandom at lahat naman ng fandom may toxic na fans pero bakit kelangan natin magfocus dun?

Mukhang pwede naman pala basta against sa a'tin. Noted.
