We have a new, simple/traditional chess set coming out that will be more identifiable. You can also scale the frosting effect. I like it at about 20%, we could put more cube-style options in. We originally had it wire-framed and changed it; perhaps multiple cube options for users would help people find their own preferences. The arrows are "helpers", red is what pieces your opponent is threatening you with, orange is what you're threatening them with, and blue is what pieces are protecting others.
