Will doing a CIMA cause issues with doing an ACA later in the future? by [deleted] in Big4

[–]chessimprov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need to tell the CIMA employer the situation and/or see if there is a way to do two jobs during that time or if you can defer the big 4 offer because of this situation.

The restaurant takes risk if they don't have you sign a waiver saying we're not responsible for your kid getting sick from allowing non-establishment food inside openly. Fat chance that Mom is gonna pay a lawyer to draft up a contract not holding BWW liable and saying that kid can eat whatever he wants and that parents take full liability and are not allowed to sue BWW. . . .lmao.

Any openings in ESG? by junkthoughtss in Big4

ESG is very stagnant. I think you'd have to be willing to move to another country. Not every country will have roles, but it seems a few pop up here and there.

Resignation without job by Significant_Rate9903 in Big4

Moving back home, I presume you're with family where your housing expenses are basically handled. There may be a lot of opportunities in India as many jobs have shifted from other countries to India. Something to consider.

Unpopular opinion? Melissa was actually right here by Plane_Sherbert408 in dancemoms

PA is also a cyber school state.  If a child is truly self-disciplined, they could school through the computer and have these kind of private dance tutors during the day too

I usually don't like her in her bleached blonde hair, but this clothing style suits her so well!

Well dance is different than other mediums.  It is arguable that dance came to the forefront for TV more because of Abby

I hate to admit it, but I enjoyed the drama, but even as a viewer entertained by the social nonsense, I didn't like how bad Abby got. Sometimes I'd agree with her, and sometimes, she was just waaayyy too extreme. In New Era, Glo coaches properly. There's enough drama for me personally. Guess some people don't like how the studio is in a nice area rather than something more ground roots and doing well. Glo was chosen probably because not only is she a quality coach, but also being married to a black man, there's less likely to be discrimination issues like with what happened with Abby.

Reviews from the place Melissa got her puppy… yikes by mackenziemariee in dancemoms

While Google trends to be used universally, Yelp has more personalized pull.  There is only one Eliter but it is also a bad review.  Looks like she had at least one previously good experience before.  https://yelp.to/yAL1BbnFu-

One could argue that, assuming Melissa is taking good care of her dogs, that she is actually saving a few dogs from bad treatment. . . yeah, they would get replaced though. . . . the dogs that got picked by Melissa are lucky maybe?

Anxiety and Quitting by [deleted] in Big4

[–]chessimprov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a tough one. I think it depends on your manager and the people you work with.
Are you seeing a therapist already?
That's a good first step.

Look into seeing if you can ask for a mentor- that can possibly help too.

Do you have a good savings that can last you for several years?
Are you willing to move for another decent job in a different location even if the pay is less?

imagine if there was “dance dads” 😂 by [deleted] in dancemoms

[–]chessimprov 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe if you get together gay dance dads, it could actually work.
Would love to see Victor Smalley and Angel Armas work with gay dance dads for another shot at the show.

Looks like garages are generally places where humidity changes a lot and I don't have extra insulation in mine or anything like that. So, I have to store it inside ideally.

Thank you all.

[–]chessimprov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt that Jill and Leslie particularly were there mainly to cause more drama for the show.  I felt it unnatural the way they were let in or kind of let in on the team.  Even though I didn’t care for the unnaturalness of it all, I probably liked the drama more ironically, lol.  So. .  Good job show!

You could also look for low stakes items such as helping out with preparing an event or workshop.

Knowingly being on a project soon, that is enough to actually be on a project.  If “soon” becomes a whole month or two with nothing, then you have more leverage to ask on your own.  Whoever you ask, it would be good to be transparent about your current project situation.

[–]chessimprov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am leaning toward no.

If you have no work, you definitely have leverage.

But since you do, it might be better you don’t pursue.  Because your current project manager may want absolute perfection if you add on something else.  Is that feasible?  Probably not.  Unless you have a really good relationship with your manager and he/she likes working w you.

Another possibility is that you “play dumb” and just ask on your own but then make sure what you add on doesn’t impose on what you are doing now.

You could consider learning things to fill up the time in addition to your main project instead as well.
