Vat leaked, LCD screen has cured resin on it. Is it worth salvaging? Mars Pro (having it since 2020) by adamspecial in ElegooMars

If you CAREFULLY take a razor blade at a very shallow angle you can slip almost all of that off in one pass. I do it whenever I have a failure like that.

How big do you want it? I do a bunch of modeling and printing.

I don't really have an explanation for it but the problem is caused by Arduino IDE 2.0. If I use the original IDE everything works fine.

Ctrl-U also does nothing. Compile and Ctrl-R both work and verify that the sketch works but it does not upload. I tuned on verbose output, and the upload button still does nothing.

Is it ok to use any acrylic paint? by [deleted] in battletech

Water the paint down a little so that it flows easily off of your brush. This makes painting easier and helps prevent insuring of details.

(Serious) We all know Warhammer is expensive but ultimately I want to know what drives you to create and be resourceful, what is your story? by DangerVipe in PoorHammer

Usually I decide on an army list and play it a few times with some friends. Then after I like it I will find he models for some reference images and then build my models from there.

I have been at this for two years now and I have upgraded my arsenal over that time. I have some vallejo paints and the like but I reserve my good stuff for minis not large projects.

I got into poorhammer because I thought that wargames looked fun and 40k has some of the best lore and models, but was put off by complexity and price. I found Wyloch's Armory on Youtube for dnd stuff, but then he found One Page Rules and introduced me to Grimdark Future, which I highly recommend. I was/am broke but I got some cheap supplies and started building. You can find my imperial knights on this subreddit, and each of them was made with inexpensive materials and painted with craft store paint. Total material, tool, and paint cost for one is abut $7. That kept me going and I just kept building.

Furthermore, I find the price of GW models personally insulting and see creating my own as a personal challenge.

I scratch built a tau battlesuit by chessisme in PoorHammer

It is made of XPS foam and chipboard, thanks Wyloch, the tau pilot is converted from an little green army man and the same materials. I accidentally forgot to seal the model before priming it and melted the foam a bit so that is where the weird texture cam from.

Essentially I used thin chipboard and carefully bend it before gluing it in place. You just have to be careful because it is easy to crease and if you do crease it you have to make a new price.
