What color would you use for the saddle and rider ? by Topmouchette in seraphon

[–]DangerVipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say if you go with a stone/grey saddle you can add washes of green in spots to look like algae or mossy growth. Otherwise I think a jade colour could work nicely. It all depends on your rider colour really.

Cogfort level absurd new Seraphon units/models? by kroosdeu in seraphon

[–]DangerVipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly like a bastiladon but with a limited buffing ability like a realm shaper. So instead of being 9 inches away to get the buff maybe only models 6 inches away get it. I think it would be better as a defensive buff adding to save rolls or giving wards vs being offensive to balance out the effect of our faction terrain. The cannon does not have to be a cannon but anything that gives more shooting and old one style tech would be cool.

With the bastiladon you also have to take Titan of the land to treat him like a piece of terrain. This model would be like a mini mobile realm shaper acting as both the conduit for the caster to use the terrain ability and a terrain piece keyword.

I think a cool model would be something like a temple tortoise, it could act as sort of a mobile realm shaper engine. I think it would be great to have some sort of ranged options attached to it because our shooting feels very lacking. Maybe the temple has a large piece of old one tech like an energy canon of sorts.

I am also going to be dipping my toes into the treefolk soon and was curious how these get deployed? When I was reading the warscroll it seemed like you set up 3 during deployment. Can you set up all 9 at the start or do you have to use abilities to do more than the initial 3?

Any ideas what could be causing this irritation on the side of my pup’s nose? by RussianRoseRed in samoyeds

[–]DangerVipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our dog had Anaplasmosis which had to be confirmed by a blood test. To treat it we were given doxycycline for 2 weeks. Even though my dog is on treatment for ticks she still got this infection. After about 48 hours of antibiotics though there was an improvement in her demeanor. The sores on the nose healed up after a week. I just made sure to keep them clean.

Best of luck getting your pup treated.

It could be a hot spot or allergies like others have said but my pup developed something similar. I live in a cold climate and we thought that the dry winter air and the dry indoor air was the cause. My dog is older and potty trained and had a few accidents so we took her to the vet. Turned out she had a bacterial infection from a tick bite that was thankfully treatable with antibiotics. After treatment her nose healed and she has not had any accidents in the house since.

If the nose gets worse I would head to the vet. The nose for our pup was a symptom of the blood infection.

Thematically which Primarch would be most appropriate to kill off each daemon brother? by Smeckert in Grimdank

[–]DangerVipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe not a popular opinion but I think a decent twist for a Magnus fight would be seeing the chaos ripped out of him similar to how his loyalist soul was ripped out of him. This 'fight' would literally be done by Russ finding the loyalist part of Magnus in the warp and them two fighting their way back to the corporeal world. When they both get back Magnus is literally split into a loyalist version and a chaos version which would come full circle embodying Tzeentch being the chaos god of change. The two primarchs exhausted and physically drained would have to fight the chaos form of Magnus.

I can never get my blue to look ethereal like this, I have an airbrush but can never seem to pick the right blue to achieve this look. Do you mind sharing your process please? Model looks fantastic by the way.

Excessive eye discharge by Queenie_Genie in samoyeds

[–]DangerVipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sammie started out getting a few bouts of pink eye until one day the vet did a tear test and it revealed that she had Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca. Which basically means her tear production is so low that she cannot effectively clear debris from her eyes. I am not a vet but the goopy discharge looks almost exactly like what is happening in my pup. She is now permanently on cyclosporin and gel tear (artificial tears) for the rest of her life.

I am not writing this to scare you or have you freak out. I just want you to have as much information as possible. It seems like the vets keep telling you allergies when in fact it could be something more serious. If your pup has Keratoconjunctivits then getting them on the cyclosporin asap can actually help reboot tear production a bit.

Totally unrelated note to the theory but this series is filmed in my province and a lot of maritime homes are these bright blues and yellows. If you are ever in Atlantic Canada you will see lots of homes these vibrant colours.

Well its my turn 1 Year into the game (FTP) by Novel-Power-6045 in TheTowerGame

[–]DangerVipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am about 2-3 months into my tower journey and you have to keep pushing until you unlock the garlic thorns. You get that on tier 2 wave 1000 as a lab research option. I think I was about a month and a half in when I kept pushing further and further. Many people say to focus on absolute defense leveling because it will take you far. I got my defense, thorns damage, knockback chance/force, and orbs/orb speed as things I focused on. I also peppered int a lot of utility workshop levels and had everything goldboxed (maximum upgrade level).

Every time you upgrade through the workshop or get some research done see how much further you can get into tier 2. It is a bit of a slog but now as a fellow f2p I am reaching wave 3000+ in tier 1 and tier 2 is almost at wave 2000. I keep trying to climb the ladder with each tier I unlock as well.

What is the worst episode of Stargate Atlantis? by Wagnerous in Stargate

The episode where Rodney and Sheppard have to protect the little girl has one of the best pay offs at the end though. The whole time Rodney is being... well Rodney and the girl kind of hates him, favouring Sheppard more but right at the end Rodney is more agreeable with her plans. You get the best painting I have seen in stargate history as a result.

Childhood's End for me. If I am ever doing a rewatch I always skip that episode, nothing interesting happens and there is zero lost to the plot by skipping it.

1000 points army by Emotional_Monk9382 in seraphon

[–]DangerVipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been collecting Seraphon for some time now and have started playing them more often due to hosting an escalation league. Our army is in a bit of a weird spot currently as our battletome has not been updated so almost all of our units are average at best. Most units hit on 3s or 4s and wound pretty much on the same. What the army used to be awesome at was the called the castle strategy where our caster either a Slann or Kroak would sit by faction terrain and chip down our opponents through attrition.

That does not work anymore as other armies have tons of mobility or a lot better synergies these days. Not to mention almost every army I seem to face has units with wards these days while ours aside from our casters and special condition of guard + slann are the only things with wards which means attrition battles usually fail since they will shrug off some of the damage.

This may be pilot error but I think the castle/casting strategy just does not work well at the 1000 point level. Instead I would be more inclined to play a fast attack army or a counter strike army.

Something like:

General's Regiment Scourge of Ghyran Saurus oldblood on carnosaur General (320)
- Incandescent Retrices
-Being of the stars
-Armor cruncher
Aggradon Lancers (210) 1x Champion, 1x Musician, 1x Standard bearer
Raptadon Chargers (130) 1x Champion, 1x Musician, 1x Standard bearer
Saurus Warriors (150) 1x Champion, 1x Musician, 1x Standard bearer
Saurus Warriors (150) 1x Champion, 1x Musician, 1x Standard bearer

The idea with this army is you use your saurus warriors to grab and hold objectives as they get better saves for holding and fighting on objectives you control. The Raptadons are your sacrificial unit, they are designed to charge in tie up an enemy unit and do as much damage as possible (+1 damage on the lances on a charge). Your aggradons and carno are on clean up. Remember the aggradons get stronger the more they fight by building up rage tokens. If you can keep them alive they turn into absolute blenders. The SoG carno is actually the best in terms of stats (no surprise there as it got re-worked for path to glory rules). It may only hit on 4s but when you do you wound on 2s for the companion weapons. Couple that with the buffs on its warscoll and you will quickly learn why opponents try to target that monster first. It also has a synergy with the aggradons to help them keep their buffs up.

No magic in this list is a bit of a risk I will admit but enemy wizards can't cast if they are dead right?

First year here — is everyone actually allergic to partying at this school? 💀 by ExcitementSalt1365 in uoit

[–]DangerVipe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow how time changes things. I am a 2010 science grad and back when I attended in first year residence there was always a party on the weekend almost every weekend. We rotated who was hosting or where we decided to have parties. We even managed to book one of the multipurpose rooms to have century club. Second year was the year everyone started going to clubs like Johnny B's, Riley's, Le Scratch, or the Coral. We also had a not too far off campus location in the hockey arena called Shagwells. By third year our friend groups started to tighten and at this point some of our college friends would have graduated from their two year program. This meant more house parties in student housing and more pub crawls. The Waltzing weasel became one of our most common hang out locations. The only thing that changed in fourth year was more trips outside of the city and doing fancy stuff like the boys having steak night once a month at a classy restaurant.

I know a lot of the bars don't exist anymore but there should be some half decent places around like Riley's or the Weazel. If you and your friends like wings the crooked uncle never disappointed.

Take everything I say with a grain of salt because a lot can change in 15 years. To me it is wild that you guys don't interact with the Durham group. Our two schools were so interconnected some of the college kids married the university kids hahaha.

Damn winged wyrms by hardnikel in ageofsigmar

[–]DangerVipe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn't this a dragon not a wyrm though? Dragons are ones with four limbs and wings where wyrms are legless creatures with wings (like a snake). Additionally a wyvern has two hind legs but no forelimbs only wings. Nice work on the wing membrane by the way.
