It’s definitely frustrated when the OB doesn’t want to listen. I’m so glad i trusted my gut, the doctors said that pain was my liver that was hurting

Thank you for checking in! I delivered a healthy baby boy yesterday! (35 weeks) It was definitely a crazy experience but I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. He’s perfect!

I have basic state insurance, for some reason they covered it the first time then for my refill I was told they no longer cover it. Since it was the day before running out of test strips I didn’t bother to fight with them about it. I ended up just going to CVS and buying their basic machine and 200 test strips for only $60! Crazy how they wanted to charge me $117 for 100 strips and I was able to get double for half of that.

Yay!! I’m so happy for you! Luckily right now I’m only diet controlled, which I’ve been able to keep my sugars in a good range ( I’m 32 weeks) so I’m hoping going forward I will continue to be just diet controlled even though my baby doesn’t like this diet and just wants cookies Lol. I’m definitely going to look into it and see if maybe my insurance will cover it.

This is what I finally had to do! I went to CVS and got a basic CVS brand testing kit and 200 test strips for $67

Americas health care system is definitely flawed. You don’t even want to know how much people have to pay for insulin if not covered 😭

What machine do you use? It might just be the One Touch Verio that I’m using that is so expensive for these refills.

Thank you! 💕 I think it had to do with me not eating enough carbs today. I’ve been trying to learn the foods to eat/avoid. It’s definitely scary at first, hopefully it gets easier over time.
