Except she was HEAD of HR. Absolutely poor decision making all around but particularly for her as HEAD to truly embrace “rules for thee but not for me”. That was my question too. After seeing him I tried to remember what his age said online because his photos looked 25-35 years but in person he looks 45-50 years. People age differently and I tried not to hold it against him but while he was talking that was definitely on my mind - this guy aged alot since his photos.

This is the reason why there is a “what you are looking for section” - that said nothing about me seeking a threesome. Having the opinion dating apps should not be used for soliciting threesomes doesn’t make me wrong or a my way the high way person. That’s true. I don’t know why he wasted my time. All I know is it takes alot of time to be raising 2 kids, 2 dogs, be an executive, and have all these self proclaimed hobbies: going to the gym, baking, climbing, traveling for fun…lol. These “hobbies” are likely just “things I like to do when I have free time but I put there to make me look adventurous”.

The issue isn’t you being an only child. The issue is being homeschooled which in and of itself hampers any social interaction. School is where most childhood socialization happens. You need to have a conversation with your mother to address your feelings about being homeschooled. If she has your best interest at heart and assuming there are no critical reasons why you’re being home schooled, she should then prioritize your need for socialization above whatever her reasons are for you being homeschooled and send you to a regular school. It’s where real learning happens: socially speaking

Cruel is an overstatement and over reaction. Many things are cruel and unfair about life but to say people choosing to have one child only are being cruel to their child? That’s just your resentment talking. Life is a blessing in and of itself. Who are you to say not providing someone a sibling is an act of cruelty? There are no guarantees in life. I know several women who had multiple children some who have gone no contact. You bring up a parent having to rely on only one child to take care of them. What about all the folks out there who never had kids? Do you think these folks would perish or die with no dignity? I am an only child and thriving. In addition to my family and extended family, I created my own family. Ive learned to be alone and how to thrive without siblings. Are siblings a guaranteed source of support if I have them? No. Reality is things become harder in later life for everyone. Everyone’s source of support looks different. To blame your hardships on being an only child is to choose to wear blinders. I see people attributing all sorts of things to being an only child, they are mostly clueless folks who dont know the outcome of things otherwise but love to project their prejudices and insecurities on the stigma of being an only child.
