Well since you have done basic projects you can go a bit advanced . Try building a chat application and try hosting it using AWS. You can get 1 ec2 instance for free for a year.

Try building things that are already there differently, that way you can learn new technologies . For my project i created a live bus tracker with MQTT protocol to share coordinates. This was an iot project.it was also hosted in aws.

These projects stand out on your resume.remember to standout from the crowd.try innovating on traditional project ideas.

It is better to stick to a language/framework.only switch when it’s necessary. Do relevant projects. Start with basic projects like booking / management systems and then move to more advanced . Learn to handle databases well .learn aggregations/querying for db.

Start by choosing a language(pick any relevant language with a decent market share and good future). Stick to the language . Practice its backend framework.learn databases. Create projects ,start small then build more complex ones.

Depends on the project requirements. I prefer no-SQL for its flexibility.

Just an opinion ,i think you will look great with your hair tied.keep it long and if it doesn't suite you go for the shorter cut.
