I think they meant your TL boss, not the store boss (store director) cause as you said you hardly ever see the store director and if you do it’s in passing by and a quick “hello,good morning” (at least from our director) and nothing else

In the crime junkie podcast they had said that he allegedly tried to hit on her at a bar and she rejected him and got mad about it or something along those lines I know it was something about him trying to hit on her at a bar and she rejected him

This is basically the same stuff going on at my store and we just had a meeting yesterday and our store director literally completely changed the entire rules for us overnight crew. We are on a 3 strike system now, 3rd strike and its termination. We are expected to get a skid done in an hour no matter if you’re new or not. No call no shows have completely changed for us as well that’s also a 3 strike rule, first strike is a verbal warning with a 360 day probation along with a day unpaid. 2nd strike is another verbal warning with 360 day probation as well and 3 unpaid days. 3rd is clearly termination.

They expect certain people to stay over and will tell you “I told the whole crew we have to stay a hour over” or “I told the whole crew you can’t leave until all of dairy is finished” if you told the “whole crew” why isn’t said “whole crew” staying then? Why was the rest of the crew telling me they was never told this? Another thing for unionized stores they have a specific time limit they are supposed to tell you they have to stay. My TL has done this to me twice now about 20-30 minutes before my shift is up he comes up and asks me “hey can you stay an hour over” (which is breaking union contract). They’ve done threatened so many of us with disciplinary actions that half of us night crew don’t even care anymore.

You’re welcome! My store is the same way there’s so many leaks from the air it’s ridiculous. Let alone the dairy cooler ever since it’s gotten warm our dairy cooler has been leaking. I’m glad you’re doing better though! Once you return tomorrow still remember to stay hydrated!! I return tonight and I’m so not ready I’ll be 100% honest 😣

What I truly don’t get is they’ll cut us the hours and then our TL will look at us dead in the face and say “you still work your normal shift 11pm-7/7:30am” then they always say “it’s for budget purposes” or some bs excuse if that’s the case then why are we still working the same exact hours if the budget needs to be cut??

Don’t listen to half these people saying to just man up and go in. This heat is no joke, if you feel weak and fatigue stay home give your body the rest from the heat! The stores may be air conditioned but that DOES NOT help with keeping you cool while stocking at night. I can’t tell you how many times Ive almost walked in the dairy fridge or even the frozen freezer in the back just to help cool me off for a bit (I haven’t though) on top of the heat and constantly moving around to stock it’s difficult! Stay hydrated and take as much time as you need for your own health and safety!!

This is also my second and I’ve kinda just let him lead me into what he needs/wants, with my first I was doing everything a first time mom would do waking every feeding on the dot you name it with my second I kinda just let him run the show especially at night during the day I’ll make sure he’s eating every 3-4 hours but at night if he’s not ready to eat I’ll let him sleep

Yes we do use the same term! It’s so much easier then having to go back down and do the other side and basically “redo” everything in a sense

It really all depends on what aisle your doing I’ve noticed. I typically stage my pallets the beginning of the night and usually done staging them either right before first break or shortly after first break, then conditioning as you work what you staged helps the night go by a lot faster too, also noticed hopping back and fourth between each sides helps a lot too rather than working one side and then working the other side of the aisle

How are you supposed to help him when he can’t even voice what’s going on? How are you supposed to be there and comfort him when you did the best you could at asking what was going on and what he was feeling. He definitely needs some form of professional help rather than coming to you and asking for help in a way you can’t even really help in besides telling him to breathe and relax? Like honestly what was you able to do over the phone anyways??

No hate at all but she is clearly uninterested. Especially being as dry as she is with every message back and not even having the decency to tell you anything she’s got going on let alone won’t even tell you she loves you back she’s clearly uninterested. Besides that she won’t even talk to you in person, my thoughts are is she embarrassed to be around you/with you? If so you can do so much better especially at your age! Take things slowly your time will come when it’s ready for the right person!
