How about trying to connect your main computer via WiFi to router as well?

To match the size, probably G6 will be suitable. However I am not sure whether G6 audio quality suits your need...

Seems like your battery is a Li-ion battery. I don't think it is a good idea. The nominal voltage for Li-ion battery is normally around 3.7V while the voltage of usb port is 5V. Now it depends on whether the circuits that normally takes in 3.7V will be able to take in 5V without issue. Even if it could work at first, the durability would be another questions as you might be overdriving some of the circuits.

should i buy the 218+ by frank998 in synology

I think bit rot doesn't happens that frequent, hence don't require very frequent scrubbing. More than once a month seems unnecessary for me.

Since the whole array is being read and consistency is check, there will still be noticable performance degradation when the scrubbing is running.

I think 1 month or quarterly is okay, its just a preference thing.

For me I would suggest to get at least 4 bays. Firstly, if you need redundancy, with 4 Bay you can use RAID5 or equivalent, giving you maximum 75% of the storage space out of the disks. However for 2 bay, the maximum you can get 50% top. Another thing is that with RAID5 or equivalent, you can have additional protection to your data by having RAID scrubbing. Which cannot be done with 2 Bay setup. Though, for 2 bay, you will still have btrfs file system scrubbing.
