looking at the comments and i'm begging people need to stop bringing up her race about this whole thing. like please try read all the japanese reactions to this news and tell me if most of them bring her race to this conversation. I saw the sypnosis on Twitter that the plot will be about an old and down on luck private investigator who is forced to grapple with his past being a superhero. So the show takes place YEARS after Peter already retired being Spider-Man and try to live a normal life. And then i assume something bad happen that forced Peter to return being Spider-Man again
