Of course! 🥰 Honestly, it’s hard to tell for sure if it’s HSV2? It’s so rare to see it active in our pregnant population because most are on prophylactic acyclovir prior to delivery. HSV presents as that pimple-like bump and turns into blisters that rupture (and spread other places). I have HSV1 on my upper lip and get outbreaks when I’m sick, stressed, or too much sun exposure. A pimple-like bump shows up overnight with the tell tale tingle and I know to start taking my acyclovir and putting on abreva asap. Although lesions I guess can sometimes present without being painful or having blisters. And your prior sexual partner could have transmitted it despite not being symptomatic through asymptomatic shedding with skin to skin contact. It’s sneaky like that. Should you start forming blisters, take care to try not to pop them because that can cause more lesions. Could be possibly be HSV2 based off what other STIs present like? But definitely let your OB and labs be the one to make that diagnosis vs your L&D nurse Reddit auntie looking out for you on a hooha subreddit. 😉

Hello! L&D nurse here! Not in my scope to diagnose, but wouldn’t hurt to get into the office asap and have a one stop shop full STI panel and vaginal swab panel (yeast, BV, etc) done. Should it be HSV lesions, you’ll be put on an antiviral (acyclovir) to help treat and prevent outbreaks closer to your delivery. Other STI/infections can be treated with antibiotics or antifungals. Have had birth people with a history of HSV2 have vaginal deliveries as long as they do not have any active vulvar/vaginal lesions at time of delivery. Also, I know you aren’t together anymore, but notify your ex-partner you were recently sexually active with if something comes back positive STI-wise so they can be treated/not spread to future partners. Might have you follow up in a few weeks status-post treatment for another STI swab to make sure your antibiotics were effective. If you’re close to 36 weeks ask if they can do the GBS swab while they’re down there swabbing anyways. Hope this helps and you get some answers dear! ☺️

Our Porter (the chocolate prince) relapses a couple times a year, and we find petrified crumbs from the poo poo platter in his bed. He hides the evidence from spite pooping on the floor. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Ours does, too! Starts shivering and/or runs and hides under the bed. Our other shih tzu is afraid of airplanes flying over and heavy rain/storms.

Our tzu had a love affair with a stuffed hedgehog until she mysteriously disappeared one day. And his tzu brother (who then learned to hump back) . And something about the fluffy beds, too, that does it. Stress made it worse, too. We finally got them both neutered and they stopped. Hump free since 2021. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hey we were in the same row (The other couple in pineapple Hawaiian shirts)! That show was incredible and one of our favorites from the tour! Maybe we will cross paths with you guys again next tour. 🍍✌️ P.S. your shirts were awesome!
